I honestly don't know too much about lore, but the Dragonborn has connections with Shor right? (I mean, the greybeards call him/her Ysmir)
So wouldn't he/she be able to go to Sovngarde anyway?

I still stand by my theory that every god gets a piece of the Dovakiin's soul. It makes sense somehow.

So, in my theory, the Dovakiin is dies and a giant war among all the gods happens until they split the soul, then the strongest part of the soul is where you end up when dead.

I think my nord battlemage character would go to Sovngarde then.
Even when she is a werewolf, she is wise and strong and aims for glory in RP. And she does not really care if a Daedric lord calls her Champion. :biggrin:

She does care about the nine divines, especially Talos and Akatosh. So I guess her going to Sovngarde would make the most sense. :confused:

Anyway it is completely unknown where your soul will end up, perhaps it will just go back into the dreamsleeve because so many people fighting over a soul makes it near impossible to decide. Perhaps one prince has stronger claims then others because of ancient laws or traditions. Nobody really knows

Oh I know Akatosh has nothing do with it, but it is one of the main divines she worships.
She can't stand Daedric Lords with evil purposses, so she might only help the more neutral lords if she feels she does not have any other choise.

Yet any werewolf is automatically claimed by Hircine and a great Nord warrior can be claimed by Shor. Furthermore at the end of the quest Nocturnal basically says that your contract has been fulfilled, so I don't know about her claim.

I dont' believe Sithis is anything more then a force. Not a sentient entity. So, no Sithis couldn't claim you. Mephala on the other hand might have to.

Well the theory is since Sithis is referred as is not. That the night Mother is mephala, every soul that thought they were in the void are actually in her realm.
