Patch 1.3.10 has totally resolved my crashes to the Desktop! Played it for 5 hours straight tonight, fast-travelling all over as much as possible. Where it would have usually crashed a dozen times for sure before 1.3.10, I was totally stable and had no issues at all! Thanks Bethesda!!!

.... fast-travelling all over as much as possible.
Not trying to nitpick too much..but just worrying that you are missing out about 75% of the game world if you are fast traveling as much as possible.

Conversely, after 160 hours of almost flawless gaming, my game has become totally unplayable since the patch crashing literally every few minutes. Where I come from there's a saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Glad to hear that OP. I uninstalled the game after it patched this morning for me. I cleaned out my registry and am going to reinstall it after steam installs the other games I bought on their holiday sale. I am currently using the 12.1 preview for my ATI card was wondering if you would share your system specs and driver version so that I can see how close your rig is to mine.

Ryuujin...wow that is crappy but did you try uninstalling cleaning the registry(games leaves one behind after deletion) and reinstalling you can back up your save files just reinstall the rest. Also what are your system specs if you don't mind? and what drivers are you using

I usually never take faith in a 3rd party fix so I never tried the "other" memory fix that was out there. I was quite fine with crashing to the desktop once in awhile as long as I remembered to do a QuickSave every once in awhile (which were quite frequent) beforehand. As big as this problem was, I had faith in Bethesda fixing it the right way and as far as I am concerned they did. In the meantime, I found other, less frustrating things to do outside of the game like go on a walk outdoors, work out, breath fresh air. It was amazing.

And one does not expect a PC game, with this kind of breadth or scope to launch without flaws. If one does, one might want to invest in one of the console platforms.

Do not worry fellow taveller. I do not worry about missing out on the game world at all. I have sneaked all around Skyrim, on and off all the beaten tracks, and I find I have not missed any of "the game world" in my 57 levels as a rogue traveller. The fast travel is only a convenience I use at times when I need to drop off a load of loot at one of my many houses because I have too much to sell that the vendors cannot absorb. Before the patch, I was always crashing to the Desktop when doing a fast travel.

Same here! I had a single CTD on the first startup after the patch, but when I restarted the game, it never crashed again! It would usually crash very often when fast traveling, going through doors, and sometimes at random. The patch also seems to have reduced the common "city lag".

Shame because the ENBSeries patch worked a charm, and makes it run a heck load better. Lucky for you, you only had crash
to desktops, unlike me I had black screen of deaths, and resetting the computer every 5 minutes isn't very good for it.
Not sure if pun at me, but sure I'll bite... Bethesda fix it right away... You know the game was released on the 11.11.11 right? A month and 10 days ago? When I hear right away, I see a small hot-fix the next day or the next week, but hey.
At your first post "I played 5 hours straight" and then on your reply " I found other, less frustrating things to do outside of the game like go on a walk outdoors, work out, breath fresh air. It was amazing" Not sure if.. Never mind.
Glad it works for you now.

Here here! Great patch on this end. Game was super playable anyway for me, this just made it smoother and seemingly more stable :)

Merry Xmas Beth!

It's increased the frequency of my CTD, especially outdoors, anyone got the direction to reset the ini files without screwing up the save files?

LOL you must be new. Just because I'm not gushing in mana wash and feelings of rapture that ought to accompany such a game-breaking but easy to construct fix (that, you know, was already developed elsewhere) doesn't label me as a console-loving cynic who expected perfection on day one. I guess I don't drop my pants that quickly (anymore) when I'm handed a crumb...not just any crumb, but I crumb someone gave me for free a month ago. BUT I suppose if it had such a drastic effect on my PC as it did on yours, maybe I'd be reaching for kleenex too.

Hi,
Thx Nanny you took the words right out of my mouth...Even more so because since 1.3.10 the game is not working as well as before. I removed everything and am now on total vanilla, capped at 30 fps (more like 20), terrible stuttering and some graphical artifacts that were not there before. I know these patches probably solve more problems than it creates but it doesn't really matter to me as i only have the problem side. Kudos...
