Lake Diving

Post » Wed May 11, 2011 1:18 am

Has anyone been diving in Lake Las Vegas and found anything intresting?

Also NO spoilers please.. :sadvaultboy:

I found a group of golfers in the lake with Golf Carts. It was pretty funny.

I found mostly sand... Not much else. Maybe a sunken boat or two. There were a couple cave entrances as well.

I've been in one and only seen the other. The one I've been in is the cave system at Camp Guardian which has a submerged cave entrance, but I'm not sure if that area is technically part of the lake. The other is Lake Mead Cave or something and I do believe it's explorable. I don't recommend going into either without the Rebreather though.

One of the submerged caves is rather large, beautiful, and fun to explore. I believe it's the cave system over on the Legion side of the pond. You'll certainly need the rebreather. You'll find a few tidbits of loot, but generally it's just eye-candy (Not that I object to eye candy).

Another cave - don't remember where -- featured some lake lurks and appears to contain the remains of an old mine or something. Some fighting to be had there, as well as some humor. Diving is worthwhile, you just need to find the right spots.

Spoiler tags are to keep people from seeing spoilers if they don't want to see it. Seeing the spoiler means you have to click on the tag. You spoiled it yourself by not having will power.

Back to the original topic,

There's the remains of a delivery truck from Sunset Sarsaparilla down there somewhere.

A crashed airplane (been mentioned, but)

Several caves.
