People on here have been talking about Water Creatures that could live in Lake Mead but that's about it. Fallout has yet to have water creatures. It was going to have Giant Leeches in the cancelled FO3 aka Van Buren. Mirelurks could have been a water creature in FO3 but they don't attack when you're in water. Makes the rivers in Fallout 3 nice Highways.

Hoover Dam is confirmed, so yes Lake Mead will be in the game, how much of it I don't know. Lake Mead is the reservoir of water caused by the Hoover Dam. Hoover Dam dams the Colorado river to make the Lake Mead.

leeches would be hardcoe, lets say you're swimming in the water and they attatch themselves to you and then you have to go to the doctor to remove them, they could be draining your health slowly and messing up your stats, that would be a creepy deal.

Thanks you seem to always answer my questions and I know I ask a lot of them haha thanks for being so helpful!
Water/lake/river monsters could be interesting, but only if you can actually fight them.
mirelurks were nothing but in lake mead it being such a large body of water should have mutated fish along with mirelurks but im thinking maybe a mirelurk colony and there being a queen mirelurk that would be interesting
In FO3 you could not attack or even wield a weapon while swimming or underwater.
Chances are we won't be able to in FO New Vegas. Reading the animation threads it would be alot of work for the Devs to make it so we can swim and fight.
Would be awesome but it might have to wait for a future fallout but if we are just walking on the bottom it would just be like fighting on land .
That's bizarre. You could in oblivion and that was before fallout 3 on the same engine. I don't understand?
Perhaps it wasn't made "no underwater combat" because of game engine limitations but rather because of a developer decision? Not everything that isn't in the game is left out because it's impossible to do.
