Larceny Targets?

Post » Wed Jul 04, 2012 12:33 am

I think this is a bug. I waited until I got the very last one (the left/right eye) before deciding to turn them in. However it appears I am no longer able to do so as the options have just simply vanished from Delvin's dialogue...?

Now I have all the Larceny Targets and don't know what to do with them. Is this a bug and is it going to be fixed in the next patch? If so, when is the next patch, late July?

It's a bug that's been around since day one. Once you get the last item, just picking it up, the game autocompletes the quest, meaning you can't turn any of them in still in your inventory.

I wouldn't count on it getting fixed any time soon. I've been bugging them about it since Patch 1.2. If you want it solved, PM Gstaff and tell him to fix it (along with the rest of the Thieves Guild bugs).

And there's no word on Patch 1.6.

So basically if you sell them all to Delvin, but haven't got the last, then picking up the last one will autocomplete it?

Yep. You can never deck out the area completely. It doesn't matter what order you get them in. Whichever one you pick up last cannot be sold to Delvin.

What a joke. This isn't the first time that a quest has bugged for me. Additionally just to completely add insult to injury I lost an 80+ hour play-through to a hard freeze and data corruption.

Sadly, this isn't what I should expect to experience when I pay hard-earned money for a game let alone spend countless hours of desired free time as well playing the thing.

Yes, it's quite unfortunate really.

Like I said. PM Gstaff, and email Bethesda's UK office to try and get some support. There isn't any patch that addresses this yet, but hopefully they'll bother fixing things if we make a big enough ruckus.

I think it's all too late. They had their chance and blew it as far as I'm concerned. There are many more games to move onto which are shall we say, more pristine.

But what does it matter now I suppose? They've already got the money from the sale.

You should still complain to them. I'm finalizing some emails I'm about to send to them and Zenimax. If they don't improve their communication, and if Patch 1.6 is identical for us as the mess the 360 and PC got a month earlier than we did, I'll be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau come the end of July.
