Just started the last battle, pretty well equipped. level 28... max guns and energy weapons. decent armor, I am using all-american marksman, sniper rifile, gattling laser, Gause rifle, heavy incenerator, riot shotgun and pulse grenades as my primary weapons... My companion is Veronica, she is tanked up in Brotherhood of Steal armor and is using the displacer glove I took from Caesar's body when I went into his tent and killed him myself... Needless to say I was owning in the wasteland. I commiited to the final battle... I can go along hoover dam or inside of it... I decided to go insider and am confronted by 3 Heavy NCR troopers that proceed to tool me. None of my weapons don't seem to get through their armor. Do they have a weakness? Even a sneak attack with a gause rifle only takes off 1/4 of there life. I'm going for an independant vegas, so I don't really have any allies... I have 1 Mark 2 securitron, Veronica, a useless ED-e unit... The boomers were suppose to support me, I don't see em around.

Playing on hard. pretty epic, I wish there were more scripted even battles like this through the game.

Are you doing VATS headshots with the gauss?

Heavy NCR troopers? They are all underamred imo.....

Try Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle or maybe the pulse gun, but i havent had trouble killing them. also if your using .308 ammo go with armor piercing.

Yes. Pulse gun is godly against PA. And armor piercing ammo in general, particularly with the AMR, is also good.

Plasma Grenades.... i threw 1 at them and it took out 2 of them. Amazing

AP ammo + Gobi rifle = game over.

The last part of the game I ran out of ammo and it was just me and my power fist. I took out every single bodyguard that Gen. Oliver had by smashing their heads.

Btw, where do I find the gobi rifle and obtains this so called AP Ammo?

It's Armor Penetrating Ammo, it's not particularly rare, Gun Runners carry it in .308 caliber.

Gobi rifle is a unique sniper rifle, found in a very hard chest in the Sniper's Nest overlooking Cottonwood Cove.
