Last person on earth

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:21 pm

If one day you woke up and you realise that you are the only one in your town (and later realize on earth) what would would you do...?

I would most likely not realize until about lunch time (unless it's a school day) when I do notice, I would most likely search the town trying to find other people, then panic realizing that I'm stuck on an island with no major open sea boat driving skills
I would then probably visit areas would never otherwise be able to + a lot of other stuff...

Soooo, what would you do :)

Go and look for people. In the end commit the ultimate act of despair probably. There would be no point in dragging this life any further when you knew your species had failed and there's no one left to breed with. The purpose of life is to procreate life and a single man only has his meaning from the perspective of mankind and having a band of his own species which cares and protects. It would be hard to sustain yourself for a longer period too. You'd likely get eaten by a rabid, hungry dog or some wild predator. Sad but true. This is probably the last thing any human being would want to be put through.

I would go completely crazy, of course, and would probably be singing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSGQy8L_jfE while I'm at it. ^_^

Try to discover where everyone went and why I was left behind. I would try to make the best of it of course, but there would always be that feeling that somthing just isn't quiet right about this. Where they taken, by who, why was I left, is this a experiment, am I stuck in a computer program, the possibilities are endless. Hopefully its not like portal though, where an insane computer program is trying to test you to death by offering you cake....though I do like cake.

Hmmm well it would probably be really lame. If there was no one to maintain our natural gas power plant here in Adelaide it would probably shut down in a day or so nd I'd be stuck without electricity. I suppuse I would have to drive down to the city, get a lot of disel generators and a lot of disel and attempt to figure out how to connect them to my house. Failing that I could move into a big caravan and run that on the generator which i guess would be easier than hooking it up to my house. Living in the caravan Id get lots of air con units (its hot here) and then go looting. Id go into yhe city with a truck or car and fill it up with stuff from JB Hi Fi. Id grab CDs, DVDs, games, top end computer and just spend all my time in the air conditioned caravan doing whatever the hell i wanted to and going to supermarkets and picking up canned foods.

edit: I would stop by the bookshops too and grab a lot of books.

Make a pot of coffee.
Drive to work.
Wait for an hour.
Hesitantly leave.
Realize there is nobody anywhere.
Drive out of town.
Realize there is nobody outside my town.
Turn on the TV.
Look at the news.
There is no news.
Drive down to the ocean.
Realize there's no horrible natural disaster present.
Drive to the gas station.
Fill up my car.
Blow up the gas station.
Some people just want to see the world burn.

the possibilities are endless.

The permutations were endless.

I guess you'd just have to take from your surroundings what was needed and make of it something more.

Step 1: cry

Step 2: take whatever I want, including a crapload of generators of some kind that I could bring to my house

Step 3: cry some more.

Step 4: take a nice car and go down to Bethesda's headquarters

Step 5: find the incomplete Skyrim stored away on one of the computers in the building.

Step 6: enjoy life by taking what I want, eating what I want, and playing video games/watching movies for as long as possible

Step 7: run out of will to live and cry even more

Step 8: commit suicide

Would everybody be gone or just dead? Because if just dead, I'm totally going to poke them with sticks. :P

Then it turns out they're actually just zombies. More than 6 billion (eh, is that the right word) of them.

Okay, so that did not prove a read as awesome as intended.

Go and live in Centralia.
I mean, I might as well spend the rest of my life in the real Silent Hill; what the hell else can go wrong?

I would read!

Since all the electricty in the world would die out pretty damn quick without humans, I would hurry and go on the internet.

Lock and load, then head to the mall. This is where the action always is in these scenarios.

But why? Everyone knows we just read to impress others at cocktail parties, and seeing as everyone has other plans...

Ever poke corpses with sharp objects? I have. They go "phlooph" and emit noxious gas. As your local HACCP representative I would highly advise against this action.

Just when Xetirox thought he/she attained peace and quiet, great white sharks evolved into mutant, oxygen-breathing, land-walking killing machines.

From that moment on, that day would be known as the world wide hide and seek day. Would be horribly amazing as I imagine it.

Steps:
1. Check if they are really gone.
2. Loot Loot Loot
3. Do what ever I find entertaining
4. Sleep

Repeat.

In long run, internet would probably go down, before that. I would rig hundreds of PC's to download entire internet to hard drives. At some point
I would have to start my crusade and travel to Bethesda HQ and loot unfinished Skyrim and play it.
