Leaves in my house?

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 7:22 am

I've been working on a mod lately. It's a house in The Rift, where all those falling autumn leaves are and I've noticed in the game that whenever I go into the interior, the leaves will still fall for a couple of seconds. The place has two doors to the exterior and it doesn't matter which one I use. It's not that big of a deal because it's certainly not hurting anything but I'd like to stop it. Does anyone have any ideas on why this could be happening? I can't see anything obvious in the cell itself that might make that happen.

This may be a silly thing to ask but, you do have a house in the Tamriel worldspace and a separate interior cell for the interior of the house? I can't think of any reason you would have falling leaves. does it only happen in you're mod-house and not any bethesda placed house?

Yes, the house is in the Tamriel exterior and it has a seperate interior cell. I have not noticed it in any other interior in the game. Just this particular house.

It's the weather fade out effect. It happens with the snow too.

There are triggers outside that attach the leaf falling effect to your camera. When you exit the trigger (By going inside), it starts the end loop of the FX, the issue being that it takes a few seconds to wear off. If you want it to stop sooner, make sure no FXAttach triggers are placed directly on your doorway. Remember; If they're vanilla, move them or disable them, but do not delete them!
