Howdy - first post, nervous, blah blah blah...

I've happened upon my first quest bug (I feel I've managed to avoid bugs pretty well so far), and have had a little snoop around t'internet and the forum and can't find anyone talking about the same problem, so thought I'd ask about. When doing The Jagged Crown (Legion), I've made my way to Korvanjund, and as I approach the little band of Legionnaires, Legate Rikke attacks me (while some other dude starts saying how pleased he is I'm there ).. What did I do wrong?? Little monster that she is... I've wracked my brains to think if I could have p'd off the Imperials, but I'm coming up blank.

Anyone else with this problem? Does it sound like a bug, or something _I've_ done? I haven't downloaded the 1.2 patch. Any ideas for things I could try to get it _not_ to happen? I've already tried reloading older saves, walking there to approach her, fast travelling... all with the same outcome

It doesn't sound like it could have been something that you did if it is only her and not every other imperial legionnaire that is coming after you. I cant even think of a reason why she would come after you swinging at all unless you had resisted an arrest and everyone in sight was trying to kill you. Sounds like a bug, sadly there are a lot of crazy and nonsensical things that I have heard about/experienced both before and after 1.2, so nothing even surprises me anymore.

Have you tried yielding and seeing if she tries to arrest you or anything?

Absolutely, didn't make a ha'penny of difference. Nvm, thanks for confirming it's prob a bug, I'll leave it for now and try again in a few quests time, just in case

I had this same problem. I fast traveled away and still the same outcome. But I finally decided I would Fus do Rah her after the frustration hit, and that solved it. I guess she was like, "Ok screw this...you will kick my ass."


If that doesn't work...try the disarm shout. Maybe I just go lucky, but it worked.

So... I moseyed around, did some misc. quests, went back, and everything was hunky dorey!! However, now I'm in the Thalmor Embassy doing the main quest (been putting it off for some reason, _now_ I know why), and Malborn is somewhere down the bottom of the map, and not where he should be for me to talk to him. I had a good run of no bugs... Now I guess I'm in the same boat as everyone else lol.

Same bug happened to me, glad to hear it wasn't something I did to provoke her attack. Making things worse was the fact that I also had a dragon attacking me along with Legate Rikke. Thankfully, my character is an imperial so all I had to do was use the emperor's voice to settle her down.
