Everywhere I go if The Legion is there I can't do anything without the game crashing. Whether it's after travel(like going into the barracks where Dead Sea is or after fast travel to the fort) or something as infuriating as just bringing up the pip-boy it crashes. I's a bit annoying to say the least that a Pro-Legion play-through is now suddenly impossible.

really? I was doing alright with the legion when I owned the game. check out some other threads on here if your having freezing issues. there are a few things that have helped other players.

Actually it gets weirder now. If I hold down the center button then conversation starts/continues. It takes about en minutes and then the black menu comes up. Although it freezes up like that every time I hit X. Whether it's to pick dialogue or skip ahead in conversation. Except in Caesar's tent that actually goes smoothly after just one of those odd button presses. Specifically it was the only way to get through Cato's dialogue. I might need to try this ultra tedious trick on dead sea.
Edit: found this out completely by accident. Went to make soup after I thought I'd shut it down to find it at that menu.

do you mean when it freezes, you hold the PS button and wait for that black screen to come up? I used to do this as well, it works, but not all the time. plus, it could just freeze again 10 minutes later. I noticed it was mostly during dialogue options that this helped, but for all we know if we didn't hold the PS button down, it may have continued on it's own?

I don't know, we shouldn't have to put up with this....
