However, Benny is heading that way, and I read some spoilers that indicate he was captured. Is it a good idea to stay on the Legion's good side until I deal with Benny? Or can I continue merrily giving the Legion a taste of their own medicine and still be able to finish dealing with Benny?

All in due time my friend, I'd say unless you wish to kill all Legion at the fort, you should probably not kill him yet.

Depends who you hate more, Benny or Caesar. If it's Benny, then play along till you can get to him. If it's Caesar, well, I hope you bring lots of big armour, big bullets and big stims.

Yes, but thats only because they send assassins after you, and if you dont have the right stuff, your going to die. And considering they pop up at inconvenient times, I tend to leave the legion alone.

The legion attack me anyway, reprieve or not.

So... Bide my time until Benny and/or the Platinum Chip is extricated from the Legion, and then start offing them on sight again.
