Leifnarr's demise. HELP!

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 4:33 pm

So, I found Leifnarr (randomly) in the Broken Helm Hideout or w/e it's called. I just FT'd to Heartwood Mill cause I'm on my way to a quest and a kid there was talking about how it's just him and his Mom running the Mill now.

And that daddy went somewhere and dissappeared and hasn't come back. So I'm like "ORLY? Is this really the place I have to go for this? COOOL!"

I go talk to the lady inside.. no dialogue options? Aren't I supposed to report his death to his fam? Wth.. IDK..

Help?

EDIT: WOW! OKAY I just go outside and talk to the kid. He wants to play a game, sure why not? He runs off... attracts a Troll and while me and his Mom are fighting it.. she DIES. FAILED: Report Leifnarr's death to his family.

Also, she keeps telling me to basically F off and that she doesn't like me there. DO NOT ask me why.. I'm confused as well.

This happened to me as well, and apparently from some googling this quest tends to bug if you find Leifnarr's body before talking to his wife (who will give you a quest to find him). I was able to fix it using console commands (instructions are on one of the wiki pages, either UESP or the other one, I forget).

On 360 here.. lol.

Well... what do you get from it? Is it even worth it?.. I'm sure on any of my other characters THE SAME THING would've happened. Way to F up a quest there Beth.

Nah, not really worth it.

Apparently if you want to clear the useless thing from your quest log, you can just kill the wife and the quest will fail. That's what the wiki page said, anyway.
