That looks nothing like my Witcher 2. Those are probably set on medium settings. Why is it so hard to admit that there are puke blurry textures everywhere? Are you guys so up on Carmack's sack that you just deny blatant facts? You are like Republicans and Christians. You just see what you want.
Doesnt matter what the settings are at, if the textures themselves don't match up.
a single piece of wood in that pic has two different textures on it, and the splits in the end of that gear dont line up.
thats not a setting issue, thats mis-matched cut and paste texture.
I certainly do not deny that up close some textures look blurry in RAGE. Context is key here.
I am aware that this is a result of the textures having to be compressed, because you simply wouldn't be able to store the uncompressed hand painted textures on your machine. In short, for this game to run to its fullest potential, HW technology has to play catch up. and whats more, other games that you would compare this against will have repeating textures, which RAGE does not have. 60FPS is also a pretty big deal- dont mind a bit of up close blurriness to have more fluid like movement in game. Like i said, context is key. You can lament that the graphics are a step back 10 years all you want- to this date, there aren't any other games that use completely unique texturing. So until you find better looking games that have completely unique textures, i will continue to throw the BS flag on threads like these.
