Let's talk about that cool cat, J'Zargo

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 9:01 pm

Now when I say "best follower", who comes to your mind? Did you say "J'Zargo"? Damn right you did.

Why? Because he's [censored] J'Zargo that's why!

We all know he's the coolest, chillest cat here in Skyrim. However, we don't all fully know how to take advantage of such an awesome kitty. That's why I made this thread, to discuss ways of making J'Zargo, and all followers for that matter, live up to the potential we know they have.

Let's hear those ideas ;)

(P.S. if he levels all the way to 81, why is he still using sparks?)

Aw man, are we gonna make J'zargo the next Chuck Norris just because he's full of himself?

Guy casts spells at a wall all day...

J'zargo uses Sparks because it's a "melee ranged" destruction spell; I've seen him cast fireballs and lightning bolts at passing dragons.

J'zargo is utterly inept at picking locks (odd for a Khajiit), but he'll gladly commit crimes for you, and his lightweight default footwear and racial bonus to sneak make him somewhat better than others at sneaking, though he's no Cicero.

His high max level and class skills give him tank levels of health. I've never seen him downed in combat. He'll stand there and drain your enemies of life using sparks, or you could position him away from battle and let him use his stronger ranged spells. Thanks to his ranged nature, he's useful for fighting afore-mentioned dragons because he doesn't need ammo.

He can be outfitted in a set of heavy armor for further tanking (and further clanking, since it will ruin his catlike tread).

I wonder if his levelling all the way to 81 is a bug, or intentional because of his personality (Everything is a competition, J'zargo wants to be very powerful, ect.).

No we're going to make J'zargo the next Chuck Norris because he's arguably one of the few companions who doesn't have the personality of a brick.

Chuck Norris has a personality? Conservative religious [censored] with an undeserving legacy of internet memes.

Hey, a good personality is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.

But I'd go with the brick :/

Jzargo grew on me. Then he died. Now Im hangin with Mjoll the Lioness. She's not as interesting but has a great attitude and is very buddy-like.

Kharjo is just plain adorable.

I wish the vampire girl from DB could be a companion (er, follower). Cicero is fun. With more DB chars in general could be followers.

Followers? Get in my way, steal my kills and glory, [censored] up my stealth, rush blindly into combat and get owned and make dumb comments over and over.

Chuck Norris is just a pretender Charles Bronsonarine.

Kharjo rocks, and his quest doesn't involve you finding the fatal flaw in a botched experiment. J'zargo needs to take the speechcraft perk : 'knowing when to shut the hell up'.

My favorite line of his is the one that's something like "Do not worry, if anyone sneaks up on us, J'zargo will smell them. Or perhaps not. We will see."

I have my J'zargo dressed up like a chef, though I am not sure he uses enough fire spells to justify it.

I like Kharjo better than I like J'Zargo. Doesn't matter though, since khajiit is finally awesome.

Haven't tried J'zargo out yet. I guess I'll kill my current follower in Boethiah's quest and start dating J'zargo :-)

I made J'zargo a Blade, he's like a spellsword now with his cute little Blade hat. I was fighting them earlier, though, and he still would run up and try to punch me with his fists, even though he had a clearly superior sword. I had to run away to avoid tragedy. Silly J'zargo, he always gets himself into crazy life and death situations.
