The gollum strat. lol It would be fun to be able to relax and fish the human way. It could be a lot of fun if they put a bit of work into it. Maybe adding a learning curve. Rewarding practice and skill with better fish.

Boats seem hard to incorporate but a great idea. Maybe even recruiting your own crew and going out for a few treasure hunting adventures?

I could make the same argument (or a better one) against cooking in Skyrim, but that made it into the game because enough people wanted it.

I feel like the fishing poles are alluding to a future patch/dlc that will include their use. There seems to be a lot of them all over Skyrim

I personally would never tire of fishing in Skyrim. I love hunting in it as well. Could do it from dawn to dusk. Would be really awesome if there was a merchant who paid a higher price for fish you caught as well.

I would like to see this is as a feature, be nice to sit by a tranquil river doing a bit of fishing. I'd also like to see a purpose given to shovels, such as been able to dig up buried treasure
