Yes. I've done all of that before level 5. Check vendors more closely. Maybe follow the tutorial at the beginning of the game.

The survival skill is used for crafting at campfires, according to it's description.

However, if you've not encountered alternative-ammo or weapon mods, you simply aren't going to the right stores or using Reloading Benches. I find plenty of HP rounds on merchants, though very little AP rounds, at the moment. I've found tons of weapon mods, too; unfortunately only one was for a weapon I actually have, and the other weapons are currently out of my price range D:

I see a lot of traveling merchants on the roads, you will see a lot of ammo from them.

i have the distinct impression this guy isnt level 20 unless hes played constantly nonstop. as ive put about 15 hours into the game and im only level 13 or so i think.

if you werent playing on very easy then you might be a higher level. also, ive done a ton of quests. so [censored] off.

i actually played on normal up to level 9 or so before bumping it up to hard. and chill man, no need to be an ass over the internet lol. its just with all of the bugs people are experiencing, who knows who has gotten far and who hasnt you know?

Im like lvl 15, seen 2 weapon mods, never had to use crafting table, repair bench, or campfire though... Also, I'm on hardcoe, but its not hard at all. I drink/eat so much to heal that I never ever have to worry about FOD, H20, or SLP... Only anoying thing is the stimpacks dont heal limbs, but thats it.

also doctors bags are useless... They only heal your limb but just barly... So one more shot cripples it once again... Bullcrap.

I really thought hardcoe would of been harder, too... Way easy.
