Level 30+ DLC?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 8:28 am

Wait is Dawnguard only for characters above level 30? Like both of my level 30 characters can play it? Just not my level 15 one?

You could even play with a brand new level 1 character.

I believe that is the recommended level. I remember reading something about you are better off if you start the DLC at a high level.

I don't think so, I'm pretty sure you could play with a level 5 character if you chose to.

No its level 10.
If you are level 9 and below the quest will not start.
Once your level 10 you will have to question the guards and they will start it for you.

I've heard in interviews that it's accessible at level 10. Or perhaps they just said you shouldn't try it until you reach level 10. Anyways, the level is 10, not 30 if that helps.

I'd imagine it will be like all other Beth DLCs - you can start it at level one or later, but there is a recommended level. Let's take Dead Money as an example. You could start it at level one, but there was a recommended level of 20 that it notified you of before you entered the BoS bunker.

In the gamespot interview Matt says you have to be "about level 10" to start the new content.

Depending on what you are looking for- it could be good or it could be just terrible.

It is good: because you get access to the dlc immediately.

It is terrible because nothing is scaled that high- so there is zero challenege, suspense, or consequences to your actions- might as well just watch a slideshow of the quest stages.

Being a vampire isnt that character's curse- boredom probably is.

This probably due to the fact that you have to unlock dragons before you can go into dawnguard I BELIEVE. It was only rumored before, but I can imagine that after going through everything and unlocking dragons you might be around level 10.
