Do all regions in the game lock depending on your level when you first enter them or is it only certain one's ?

Really ? That's weird, because in my original playthrough when I returned to places like Bleak Falls Barrow at level 53, which I'd entered at level 1 or 2, the loot was still all really low level.

I don't think there should be level locked regions, but I do think there should be areas where you'll have to fight an extremely uphill battle (or avoid it entirely) if you're at lower levels. The whole "here be dragons," attitude.

They're level locked in the sense that once you enter them, they'll be at whatever level you were at when you first entered them.

I don't want forcibly locked regions, but it would be cool if there were places you just got your ass handed to you at level one.

Generally speaking it seems like if you try to venture into the mountains at low level you'll get a butt kicking.

Are talking about instances like said frost troll at said mountain? then yes more tougher enemies would be nice(at low levels). so instead of that"do anything at level one feeling" it will be more of a "danger is everywhere OMG! what is that it's huge and has a giant sword made of fire! " feeling.

I can agree but I wouldn't mind if there were few "special" areas for strong characters only.

There sort of is for the first several levels. Enter a Giant Camp and you're dead. But yes a few areas like that for the later levels, where you really had to watch yourself would be nice.

And let's not forget that unleveled Troll on the way up to Hrothgar. ;)

By the time I'd made it to High Hrothgar, all I faced were Frost Trolls anyway. The guy at the bottom warned me of wolves as well...

I can attest to that!

I am playing a permanent level 1 character and while your usual random wildlife and bandits are at the same level there's plenty of places with much higher base level creatures and enemies!

Check out the thread in my signature for more info ...

Yeah, there are definitely places it isn't safe to be at low level.
