after talking to lieutenant hayes at primm I head north through the vale area towards novac. I find him there. however there was also a lot of giant scorpians there too. so far out of the times i've tried i have not been able to keep him alive (i'll eventually find a way). The question i have is does anyone know why he's out there.

PS there was also a dead body of a caravaner.
