Light Armor are underated...

I just recently obtained legedary glass light armor set for my level 22 through smithing, I spent a lot of times and money throughout the fisrt several level to get smithing to 100 to get the glass armor but it prove dissapointing. My characater is currently level 22 wood elve and I plan to make a one handed/sneak/smith/archery and use light armor. I thought I was a god if not close after getting it to legendary only to found out that I still take relatively high damage from fairly weak npc's like the Forsworm and the Silver hand, magic didn't hurt me too terribly but come on, I mean you could see my health bar get visibly drain(lost about 5%--10% of health per hit) after taking a hit or 2 from a Silver Hand guy which is pretty sad. I used shield too but I still think that my set was pretty weak for it's legendary status. My new goal is to obtain the light armor dragon set in hope that it would perform visibly better than the glass set :stare: .

But I was wondering I did anything wrong here with building up my char through the early levels, I mean my one handed skill and light armor are only in the earliest 40's since I focus mostly on smithing but's still... may be I should try to enchant my sets a bit... idk what u do guys think?

Take more defense perks in Light Armor. You can hit or come close to hitting the armor cap for almost any armor, so Glass armor shouldn't be doing you that bad. You must be focusing on non combat skills like Smithing, and not enough light armor.

I mean I do have like 2 or 3 perks in light armor but I guess that's not enough.

My current character went over the armor cap with scaled armor. Improve that stuff at the bench and buff it with perks.

My new character is the first to use heavy armor in my :tes: history. Light armor does do the trick.

You leveled up too much from smithing, to the detriment of your combat skills, including armor perks. So monsters are hitting you very hard for your level. Powerleveling smithing = BAD.

Same with me. My 2-handed Warrior is still wearing Scaled armor at level 39. I have the smithing perk to make Dragonscale but so far I'm perfectly happy with Scaled.

i agree. i tried powerleveling via smithing too and it this indeed harder. Suddenly there not bandits anymore but highway men who are stronger. Even if you have a good armor it′s useless if your Char doesn′t know how to use it due to a lack of skill.

my character has a full set of legendary dragonbone armor, I do have a few perks in heavy armor (like 8-9 I think) and I still take a lot of damage from the forsworn.

I dont see it as a problem that 4-5 forsworn might be able to kill me if I slip up. most people complain that the game is too easy.
