Light armor without smithing?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 10:55 am

I am playing a sword and board on expert, and have already sunk two perks into heavy armor, but I think I want to use light armor now because I prefer the way it looks.

Two questions:

1) I have only done a few quests and bleak falls barrow, should I restart so I don't waste those two perks?

2) I only want to wear fur, hide, scale, etc. armor - no elven or glass or anything. What kind of an armor rating would I have with all the perks wearing each armor and shield?

U should be good when maxxed out. Ive played a sword and board with light armor with no smithing and its fun. Makes you require more on atking and moat difently blocking. And I was on master, ive never gone back to smithing since.

If you're not going to use heavy armor and have only done so little a restart might be a good idea. Two perk points can mean a lot later on and it might be better to invest them into useful things.

Of course this also depends on how long and far you are expecting to go with this character. Alternatively you could also just train up two less important abilities later on to get the perk points in another way. (Assuming of course you don't want to max out your character in every skill)

Anyone know what kind of armor rating I would have wearing fur, hide, and scaled armor with max perks and level?

If one of the two perks is the unarmed peek. Keep it, it's fun to go unarmed sometimes. If not, starting over will prob be a good idea.

I'm pretty sure you can hit the max rating with any armor. With the loop that is.

No loops. And I don't want to hit max level. I just want to make sure it is high enough though. I do not want to smith, enchant, or use alchemy. I am sick of the game getting too easy at high levels.

It should end up being enough. I have one character that only wears fur gauntlets and boots for armor. On expert. He's basically a ninja-samurai type with the blades sword and a torch in the left hand, for blocking and lighting on fire.

That is awesome. Does the lighting on fire do much damage?
