Not much of a mod, just a few mouseclicks. Here's a copypaste of the readme.

Have you ever seen a 7 lbs keychain? You might if you play New Vegas without this mod
which changes the weight of the food santizer to 0.5 lbs.

Enjoy! Feel free to do whatever you want with this. Typing this text was more work than
editing the weight. ;)

Thanks go to to JustinOther who made this for FO3. I even stole his screenshot.

What started out as a rather simple weight reduction of the food sanitizer has become
a bit more. I compared the sanitizer from New Vegas to that of Fallout 3 and noticed
most ingestibles lacked an extra entry which checks if the sanitizer is in your inventory.
I took up the tedious chore of adding the extra line to all ingestibles that restore health.
While doing so, I also moved some food items from the big guns category (what gives Obsidian?)
to, you guessed it, food. Also I changed the existent checks from == 1 to >= 1 which means
you can now carry more than 1 food sanitizer without losing its effect. Please note that
carrying 2 or more sanitizers won't make the effects stronger.

Disclaimer: This mod is provided as is. I only tested it enough to know that the food sanitizer
actually works now. I haven't had the time to check how it influences game balance. All added
extra healing entries are the same as in FO3. (1 for food, 2 for water and a bit more for rare
or strong food like Mirelurk meat.) Feedback is welcomed. Especially from more seasoned modders
than me. There is a list called FLST which uses the sanitizer. If anyone can tell me what it
does or is supposed to do (as far as I can tell it doesn't do a thing) I'll be sure to send kudos
your way.

Enjoy! And please feel free to improve or edit this file. If you choose to redistribute it, I'd
like a little credit though.

Installation instructions: unpack to your Data directory and check the file in your launcher.
To uninstall: simply delete lightweightsanitizer.esp.

Incompatibility warning: this probably won't work with any mod that alters ingestibles that restore
health. But hey, this is the first food related mod anyway. ;)

Bump for http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35287.

I've now included all food items and made a version that is compatible with Pintocat's Sorters.

Over 800 unique downloads can't be wrong people. :)

Nice... always wondered if the thing was built of some magical antimatter or something haha.
