A List for Surviving New Vegas.

Post » Thu May 05, 2011 2:31 pm

I thought it would be fun just to start a thread for surviving New Vegas. Obviously the game hasn't come out yet, but you know, just to give people idea's when actually playing.

The list should be represented in number display, and you can either make it a simple fact, or a huge paragraph.

I'll begin.

1. Always make sure to have a loaded clip before going into a firefight.
2. Carry what you need when you need it.
3. Don't get addicted to gambling and lose all your money....
4. Choose your faction wisely!

Continue the list, down below.

Really? lol!

I can't imagine the crime and punishment system as being improved, so it's safe to assume the notorius pencil thief is wanted so he can be placed on the gallows. DAMN THAT PENCIL THIEF!

Go into the game with an open mind. Drop what you learned from FO3, and what you have seen or heard in previews. Enjoy it, and follow the notions you get from the game, and not from external sources.

Constantly watch your back. Freaking hated random yao guai's popping up in my screen. Makes me jump every now and then, I can always just hear them coming.

I wish I could shoot all the people at school who borrow pencils and never return them.

Boil your water before consumption to cut down on bacteria, and watch where you squat.

Never head into a fight with just one good gun. That one applied even in Fallout 3. I ended up getting torched really quickly by Fire Ants in Grayditch when I ran in with pretty much just the Laser Pistol from Super Duper Mart, starting 10mm, and Hunting Rifle.

OR WE BLOW OFF YER 'EAD AND TAKE BACK OUR PENCIL.

Don't let your friend play and have him waste damn near all of your ammo.

I remember my trusty manservant Charon took his shotgun to me just because I took an empty Nuka Cola bottle or something out of a garbage can in the Underworld LMFAO.

I think that the one and only rule of survival is this: Don't rush into fights you can't win.

Or possibly "EAT HOT LEAD, CRIMINAL SCUM"

Back to the topic at hand, the one thing I'd add is remember to make several game Saves just in case.

1. Loaded clip always

2. anything that shoots, shoot back

3. Vats is your friend and is the singlular most advantagous inbuilt game mechanism for you and you alone.

4. War, War never changes

5. pack supplies

6. if you have a pea shooter, and armor is clearly laughing away the bullets. run

7. Ignore your instincts

8. dynamite hurts, shoot it pre- to mid flight or run.

9. Don't face of against a hoard of knife weilding enemies with a shotgun.

10. learn from the bullet that once was in your head, let it never happen again.

Never hire a neutral ally, and then go evil. It's not fun. As the gentleman from earlier would know, I was on my evil file in FO3, and I just happened to turn neutral somehow. So, I decided to bring Charon along... I forgot what I did. I either killed someone, or stole something. Either way, I came under fire and, wondering who it was, looked around until I finally saw who it was. My new companion, Charon! I hated him so much since that moment.

Oh, don't win too much when gambling, or you'll become hated by the casinos.
