!!!Warning, NVSE is still in BETA stage, so use it at your own risk. NVSE mods are not guaranteed to work properly yet.!!!

Well yeah, that's a list of mods that use the New Vegas Script Extender short NVSE.

First of, you can easily find NVSE mods on the Nexus by typing "nvse" in http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/advancedsearch.php, "Description contains" section.

Would it not make more sense to, y'know, wait until NVSE goes out of Beta? This just contributes the the problem you've spotted where people are acting as if NVSE is in full 1.0 definitely for sure OK to release and use mods version.

Wouldn't it make more sense to, y'know, thank me for the time I'd spend on making this thread, rather then complaining about it? Specially if one of the NVSE dev members said:

Feel free to start a thread. We're not going to be able to support that, but the community is welcome to come up with and manage the list itself.

(I like the idea and I tried to support such a thing for OBSE 5 years ago and it was simply too much work on top of the script extender itself.)

But thanks anyways for appreciating my efforts...

Probably there should be a big disclaimer at the top of the list which states that NVSE is still in beta, that mods based on NVSE may have to make changes until NVSE is out of beta. Talkie does have a point that the list might be a bit premature in that regard. We can fix that with the disclaimer while we're still in beta.

Also I expect us to be in beta for another week or so. I am working on some additional requests which I hope to push out at the end of the week. Then we'll let things sit for a week or so to flush out bugs. Then we'll go public. So in a couple weeks you can remove the disclaimer.

Even if its premature or not, I found 2 mods on that list that i find brilliant!

I already used a few from it but now ill actually enjoy the binocs.

Thanks for starting up a list, the modders who create the mods we use,
the academy, my first teacher who helped me when i needed it, and the
makers of great coffee who help me stay up on these all nighters! ;)

I had to take the two stutter remover mods of the list due to suspicious files. Sorry about that and thanks for notifying me about that @trandisher.

I don't know that the warning needs to be quite that severe. The "responsibility" section probably isn't necessary. Just a warning that until NVSE gets out of beta folks may need to update their mods with each new release.

Fixed. You said you want a BIG disclaimer. If you just want a simple note stating that NVSE is still in BETA, you need to tell me...

By the way, I noticed that Lucy Blue and me are the only people which have tagged theri mods Beta. Wasn't this planned a little different? Or can we lift the Beta status?

Both of my mods are clearly marked as Beta (well, one is Beta the other is Alpha), both in the readme and in the Nexus's version specifier - it's simply not listed in the mod's name.

I think you missunderstood me here. I was saying that Thermal Vision Mod and MMAT are the only two mods that actually have the BETA tag. I can't see this on any other mod on my list. This is why I asked if we can maybe lift the BETA status on our mods.

Ahaha, no. I can't believe you think you deserve thanks for the 'effort'.

Either way, the point of the warning/NVSE's beta status is that the mods dependent on it are liable to break/change/not work entirely as intended. The disclaimer/warning should be along the lines of 'these mods are not guaranteed to work properly yet'. If people start downloading a bunch of NVSE mods expecting them to be reliable and a patch accidentally breaks something, or there's a bug, they're going to be put off from using NVSE- in much the same way a big "USE NVSE AT YOUR OWN RISK!" warning would discourage them using it in future.

Fake edit: I see you're on a quest to wear out the rollseyes smiley.

Didn't want to poke you. I've read your message and thought you where right...but maybe you could have just stated it a little more gentle and less complain like. That's why I made the rolleye smiley in hope you would recognize I was joking when I argued about it.

You know, smileys and the like, stating emotions...not so serious?

I still think I deserve a thanks for the effort...

Btw. don't you like edits?

Just two minor nitpicks:
1. ART doesn't use NVSE... yet...
2. I'd remove the "BEST MOD EVER!!!" bit and simply leave the link/name

Neither Thermal Vision Mod nor MMAT are tagged 'beta' (and there is no 'beta' tag on the Nexus as far as I can see) or have 'beta' in their version or anything like that. They just have 'beta' in the name of the mod.

Whatever. The point was that all the other mods on the list do not have anything that says they are BETA, get it?

My Sorting Backpack does not make use of NVSE. Yet. It probably will in a few days when I get some time away from work and get back to the GECK.

Uhuh. And what, exactly, are you saying here? Because I have absolutely no idea. Maybe you're trying to insinuate that I edited my mods in order to add 'Alpha' and 'Beta' to their version information or modify the readmes or something, but I haven't, and you can check that by looking at the last-edited dates on the files in question.

Sorry if my insistence that you not misrepresent my mods as not being labeled as beta/alpha has hurt your feelings or whatever, but I don't want people to get the impression that my mods are more stable than they actually are just because you said they weren't labeled as being in beta.
