List Your Favorite Armor SetCombo! Add Weapons Too!

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 10:04 pm

What's your guys' favorite armor set/combo? I'll start off by listing my top 3.

1. "Dovahkiin" (Iron Helmet, Iron Gauntlets, Iron Boots, Studded Armor, Banded Iron Shield, Steel Sword and Dagger) Just looks SO badass on my Nord, and my character is almost always a Nord. Nothing like kicking ass dressed up like the badass in all of the Skyrim photos.

2. Steel Plate (Steel Plate Chest, Steel Plate Gauntlets, Steel Plate Boots, Steel Plate Shield, Steel Sword) One of the only armor sets that looks normal and not completely over-the-top *cough* Daedric Armor *cough* Looks great on any human character, especially my Imperial Battlemage/Spellsword.

3. Dragonplate (Dragonplate Chest, Boots, Gauntlets and Shield. Steel sword.) A pretty nice looking armor set. The only weapons that look right as of now with it are steel, but that's my opinion. Hopefully when the CK gets released, someone will make some really nice Dragonbone weapons, instead of just retexturing Orc ones, which just looks plain weird imo.

So....what are your guys'? :D

1. Steel Plate + Ancient Nord Helm for awesome Viking-ness on my nord sword and shield warrior

2. Full Orcish on my orc for maximum RP/badass factor 8.9

3. Glass; it just looks nice, especially on female NPCs.

My favourite armour combo would have to be what my character is currently wearing, which is the ancient shrowded cowl, gloves and boots with nightingale armour, all upgraded to legendary. As for weapons, my favourite would have to be my daedric bow for range, and a combo of blade of woe + daedric dagger when sneaking, and daedric sword + mace of molag bal for full on melee combat (all on legendary as well of course )

1. Steel Plate Armor(full set)

2. Imperial Legion Armor(heavy version with officer helmet)

My favorite weapon is Steel Warhammer. Simple, I know, but that is the point.

Steel Armor, full set and a skyforge steel greatsword. Running around with that at level 35.

And leather armor without a helmet for female characters. Add in an imperial bow and we are all set.

Took my helmet off for the pic but it's one of the few good looking light armor helms.

I will tell you what looks even cooler (imo) on a Nord warrior hero! The ancient nord armor set. The full set with the helmet looks amazing on a nord. A decent beard is recommended.

Right now, my Nord is wearing a set of dragonbone armor+shield and a daedric sword.

Some may not like the daedric armor "look", but I could just imagine the looks on peoples' faces seeing someone wearing that, walking around town. I always wondered why no one in Oblivion attacked my character, thinking that they were a daedra. I may switch to that once I collect the daedra hearts, but I'm in no rush.

Perhaps when I get my enchanting skill up, I'll try some of the other armors.

Currently wearing dual enchanted Dragonscale armour with magic/magic regen (as I'm levelling the mage school) and the Nahkriin mask as it helps with this also. Also wear Konahrik as it looks awesome.

Weapons I use Chillrend (Legendary) and dual enchanted glass weapons with fiery-soul trap and silent moons enchants. Bound bow as it add's to conjuration if not I'll use Nightingale or a a self enchanted glass one.

For my Nord warrior it's his homemade Skyforged Steel Plate Armor with a Horned Steel Helmet combined with my Skyforged Steel Greatsword = http://i40.tinypic.com/jkworm.jpg.

My Breton hitwoman loves her Savior's Hide/Armor of The Old Gods/Thieves Guild Armor combos. http://i42.tinypic.com/2vb08dc.jpg.

For the time being:

- scaled horn armour, scaled gauntlets, scaled boots, all of them flawless and ancient nord helmet superior,
- steal shield and skyforge steel sword, both of them flawless.

Ebony, as it makes my character look more like a noble, rather than an average soldier. With a respective battle axe, I generally use greatswords but the ebony one looks more like a katana.

Easy.

Banded Iron Armor, Banded Iron Shield, Iron Gauntlets, Iron Boots, Iron Sword.

Edit: And maybe the occasional longbow for good measure.

I like pairing the 3/4 of Nightingale armor with the DB Shrouded Cowl/Shrouded Cowl Maskless/Ancient Shrouded Cowl. The latter is the best since it has the best base rating, and can be improved. On other occasions I wear the Guild Master set.
As for weapons, currently wielding an Ebony Mace with the Fire Damage enchantment, and an Ebony War Axe with a Drain Health enchantment. On special enemies I use the Dragonbane or the Dawnbreaker, with my mace.

Also, does anyone have any advice on what to pair the Savior's Hide with? It would be very welcome.
