A little off the beaten track...

Yes, fin. I'm playing an argonian.

So, decided to try out a new character build the other night and so far, I'm having a blast.

I picked up restoration and have been letting my bodyguard tank while I heal. I've been buffing her with courage, and summoning familiars or atronach as needed to suppliment the damage output.

This playstyle has forced me to think differently than the standard fireball/stealth attack/UG SMASH style of play. I'm actually using spells I wouldn't normally dream of using.

Turning undead makes crypts significantly easier than they would be normally, and having the ability to heal my follower means she gets more mileage in combat than as a walking loot repository.
Using courage as a buff improves her performance, and if I hit elk/deer/foxes/goats with it, they agro on me and run to me instead of running away; this makes soul trapping significantly easier.

The ultimate goal of this character is to finish the Daedric quests and gear out my followers with artifacts, and let them do my work while I keep heals up. I felt quiet strong last night when I was able to out-heal a dragon's breath on master difficulty without resorting to chain-potion abuse.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this build scales. I must admit, it has been a lot of fun trying to play the game incrementally, and leveling as I go instead of powerleveling skills towards a desired build.

So far, I've only found 3 other approaches that seem to work well on master difficulty: stealth, illusion crowd control everything to death, or riding craft skills to the top.
With that said, anyone else finding ways to play on master difficulty that are a bit off the beaten track?
