When I enable the texture pack I get this crazy glow on logs in the fire... I can't tell if it's on purpose or not; I think it looks rediculous and not in a good way. Anyone else seeing this?

It's due to how the BSAs are loading and some files aren't in the right spots in them. Don't worry, we're working on it.

How will changes to the texture packs be implemented? Can you update DLC the same way you would the game?
