How is homosixuality 'funny'? Hetrosixuality isn't, its a natural compunction of individuals. The same is true for homosixuality. "Loling" at a natural thing is like cracking up every time you take a crap.

I'm personally glad they added it, even if the marriage system is something of an embarassment... its better than Fable's i suppose. Still, to my knowlege there is no representation of it in the world without the PC's interaction, so theres always room for improvement.

the reason i find it funny, is because i can imagine the movement it must have taken for it to become legal. and yes, sometimes i giggle when i poo. i'm really disturbed you knew that.

Any true follower of Hermaeus Mora knows all, even when he'd rather not.

Anyway, from a ethno-historic perpsective, homosixuality is really only frowned upon in the big 3 monotheistic religions (Christianity, Judeism and Islam). And to an extent Hindi. Its certianly not the favored maritial dynamic in most cultures, but there doesn't tend to be that strong a stigma against it. Since Tamriel lacks anything even approaching a Monotheistic culture, i don't expect homophobia ever really developed, as such there would have been no need for a movement to make it legal.

i didn't mean to offend anyone. i'm not homophobic, just not gay, and i married a man. ok. no humor there? well then, if you all will excuse me, i'm gonna go give my husband a staff of flames.

Well, not really, no. I mean the whole point of playing games is to do stuff you can't or wouldn't otherwise do or be able to do in the real world. I play as females in games just for kicks and giggles (plus I play Third Person so if I'm going to be staring at ass all the time it may as well be female) but that doesn't make me a female IRL, at least not last I checked.

I think Bethesda's choice to implement player controlled sixuality (rather than leaving a few customers upset at being unable to court their favorite NPCs) leads to some unusual circumstances. Personally I liked the way Dragon Age and FNV worked sixual orientation into the background of their characters, it added to the depth and realism of the gameworld, but I'm sure doing so runs the risk of creating offensively stereotypical characters.

It's funny because a certain subset of your kind has spent a lot of energy fighting for the right to marry. And when it is possible for gay marriage in a game, you choose to marry a woman instead. The irony is really hilarious. Nothing to do with toilet humor.

With that context in mind, I also find it funny that some gay couples are now wanting to divorce. Really? You fought so hard to get married, now you want to be separated. What's the point?

Alot of 'out of the normal' things are funny and homosixuals are still being frowned apon in alot of countries. Actually, i'm Dutch and gays are accepted here alot more than in any other country. Still i find that many gays look funny since they (try) to act like a women in a men's body.
With all those 'tough warrior' men in Skyrim, it is indeed funny you're able to marry one. Imagine them in ancient nord armor, a big warhammer and a girly walk? :)
