LOL at [censored] main questlegion conflict

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:50 am

This is so dumb...

I can't be bothered to decide to join the legion or the stormcloaks yet, I think they are both lame..

BUT

I am trying to set up the peace meeting with the greybeards so I can go and [censored] over Alduin.

I went to Ulfric and persuaded him to go.

I go to Tullius, he finishes his scripted BS with Rikke about the crown and she automatically talks to me about the initial legion mission and tells me to talk to Tullius to take the oath,

Guess what?

Yes, that's right I have no option to talk to Tullius about the peace meeting until I've taken the oath to join the legion.

DOH!

Of course, if I just need to increase my speech ability to get a persuade option for Tullius then fair enough...

you did the testquest from rikke. it's your fault. why do you do the invitation quest, if you don't want to join them?

Its not my "fault".

I also had the initial quest to join the stormcloaks in my quest list, which I hadn't completed but Ulfric still has an option to talk about the peace meeting.

Anyhow, I worked out the problem...at the peace meting you have to be on side or the other to "negotiate" on their behalf.

Still ret*rded though.

unfortunately you'll have to do that part of the chain before you can go on... did you start early enough that you could just do it over? ugh... I did this to myself and was really mad... and there's also no danged way out. you can't even console command out if you're on a PC... just gotta finish the jagged crown and then tell the General about the meeting BEFORE you give him the crown... svcks. So sorry, man.

So I had to join the legion and go to the peace meeting on their "side". I did everything the Stormcloaks wanted including telling the Thalmor [censored] to leave and all Tullius did was tell me I'd betrayed my oath to the legion.

Daft muppet, why didn't he throw me out?

you're prolly not gonna like this... the "first" quest for both sides can be done on both sides... it's the jagged crown on one side or the other that locks you in for them. :(

The Legion can't throw you out. It's for life, right? :)

I too cant particularly be bothered to chose a side. However, that seems to mean little to either sides and they'll do their damn best to tie you up in their quests. SO, there you are.
You can be an obedient little Dragonborn, or you can kill everything..
Or perhaps a reload to do things differently?
So if you HAD to chose a side, if you had to pretend to give a farkas about this whole civil war, who would you side with?

I would pick the empire, the Stormcloaks are just whiney gits.

It reminds me of the situation here with the Scots wanting independence and us English saying yeh alright, sod off home the lot of you! LOL
