Morrowind was awesome! I get the lantern reference, but seems like a bit of a stretch. I'm guessing he was just trying to see where he was going.

I love all those lanterns and candles we can carry in Morrowind so much, I was disappointed they were not functional in Skyrim. After 3 months, I can use lanterns finally with mods.

nice, I used torches mainly in mw but I remember being able to use lanterns, nice find.

Dont even get me started on those paper lanterns, for some bizarre reason I was addicted to them, Collected every single one I found and used levitation spells to help me decorate the outside of my House Redoran Manor with them. On the houses, in the trees, on the path leading up to my place, everywhere! I will never know what it was about those things I loved so much but I could never find enough of them, I am almost thankful they arent in skyrim or I would be facing that weird addiction of mine all over again.

You want a more concrete Morrowind reference? You can find Keening in a sidequest, and there are several references to the Heart of Lorkhan.
