hey so this game looks really sick. but from the videos ive seen, the devs keep saying this game is not for lone wolves... what does that mean? i define a lone wolf as someone who plays on their own. for example, am i a lone wolf if i play my fps's like homefront and blk ops by myself?

cuz i have a mic, and i wouldnt mind communicating. i also have no friends to play this with. does that mean i should just forget about this game. i really want to play and buy it, but im not sure if my criteria meet this games standards, thanks.


side note- this is my very first post on these forums. also, i dont know much about this game. can you guys maybe give me some youtube links? much appreciated :wink_smile:

The lone wolf you speak of are people who go off an just concentrate on getting kills in game and don't help the team at all. It has nothing to do with having no one to play with and that problem will be solved soon since you are here.

If you can handle teamwork, such as coordinating with your other teammates and working together (even dying, if that's what is called for) to achieve a specific objective then yes, welcome to BRINK.
IF all you can do is "quick-scope", run around teabagging fallen enemies, and scream into the mic every time someone kills you then no, this game is not for you.

They mean that you'll get more XP for helping a teamate as opposed to killing someone. Also, it's highly team based which means going off behind enemy lines for the sole purpose of killing won't work too well.......

Well firstly this is a Team based game which i gather you picked up on and secondly the beauty about games is that they teach you to adapt to your sorroundings. thats why there is a single play it's like a teaching aid. and thirdly This is your's :turtle: may it bring you luck.

What they mean by "lone wolf" is people who play FOR themselves (i.e corner campers, KDR w.h.ores etc...), and not for the team, it has nothing to do with whether or not you are playing by yourself.

You should not give up on this game just cuz its not for lone wolfs u should still play, and see if it changes the way you play games.

If you are the type to run off on your own, ignore what the team is doing, an not helping people, you will fail. This game is all about teamwork.

what the devs mean are people that only care about their KD, running around trying to be an assassin.

you are a casual public player, once you find a crew your mindset will change on what is a lone wolf. i believe master wraith has made a thread talking about lone wolves in a poll fashion.

OP, it doesn't matter how you play. It's a video game, you buy it to have fun playing. Play it your way, and if others don't like it, it's their choice to either be children and whine about it or just ignore you and let everyone enjoy the game. Lone wolf it if you enjoy that. Be MVP and help the team if you enjoy that.

You can't be a lone wolf because there will always be people to join you in your wolf pack.

OP, do what you want. It's a video game, you bought it to have fun playing it. Just have fun. If people are too immature to just ignore you when they don't like what you're doing, let them work themselves up. Their blood pressure is none of your concern, dude. Let them whine and complain.
