With OWB pushed to July, how about LR? Different team working on it?

If they lay off everyone at obsidian and have Bethesda work on it it would probably come out in july

The moral of the story is NEVER put your hopes up. There is no way in hell that both OWB and LR will be released in the same month and even if LR is already completed, they'll probably deliberately delay it for another month or two. Give it till September if I were you.

Yes it will be probably in to August or in an extreme case September. It does increase the interest in Fallout new Vegas even if it is bad lmao

Isn't it obvious that Lonesome Road is now delayed? Probably won't come out until October.

I doubt anybody will buy it in October too many games that ain't buggy as hell coming out

I think the same was working for both the DLCs,but that doesn't matter now because its most likely delayed now.

I think they've delayed OWB and now LR on purpose. I stated in the other thread, that this game came out October 19th 2010, they have to keep this game relevant as long as possible. If that means delaying DLC they said would be out within a time frame, then they'll do it. Sure they are supposedly fixing bugs in the new patch, but those bugs should have been fixed from the get go and not 8 months after the original game was released. They're just trying to keep it relevant, and making the consumers believe they still care for this game, but it is my belief that they don't. Watch once LR is released the support for this game will dry up fast, forum posts from Obsidian/Bethesda people will cease. They're planning for Bethesda's next big titles Rage, and Skyrim. They have to keep NV relevant until those games are ready for launch, so we can move from NV straight to either Rage or Skyrim. Isn't it funny that Rage was suppose to be out in August, and now that it was pushed back to October, that all of a sudden Fallout DLC has been pushed back? Coincidence?

it doesn't increase the interest for "me". i'm hardly playing it lately. i think they should be trying to keep us all playing new vegas to keep us interested. at this point, i think only the die hards are still really waiting for the rest of the dlc, while losing most of the "casuals" because of all the delays. luckily, for the company(s) profiting from the dlc, alot of people won't trade the game in now cause they won't get sh*t for it, cause it's only selling for 17.99 now. this will allow for more people to buy new dlc.

No, the map design itself is supposed to be a long road, and the Divide is a place ridden with storms and earthquakes. We have no idea what is on the road, and according to Chris Avellone, it isn't any kind of road we've seen before. My guess is that as we progress it, storms and stuff will get more violent and some of the gameplay will be about avoiding storms, and all the while there will be some sort of cannon fodder enemy attacking us often.

Speculation aside, nothing points to it being a big empty space as according to lore, nobody has gone there and returned.

Marketing strategy: give a product enough time to be sold before releasing a new product. It's what they do now with the push-back, it's what they'll do between OWB and LR. A minimum of eight (not four) weeks is required to milk out a DLC, although after a week or five a DLC is pretty much milked. So, to answer you question: the likeliest release date for LR would be somewhere late September, when OWB is drained beyond drainability. After September comes October (y'rly) which would make FONV come full circle; a full year of sales. That is, if they dont push things further back.

Like Rage... After that drops I'm afraid New Vegas will fall into the classic and hardly touched class. It's sad really. I had such high hopes.

I agree with you Radnus, a few posts above yours I said roughly the same thing. However it is my belief they want to keep this game relevant long enough for Rage and Skyrim to be released, not necessarily a 1 year full circle of sales. Which is why they are purposely delaying OWB and LR. That's right I said PURPOSELY. Brink was a flop, so the only game that is really carrying Bethesda at this time is New Vegas. Since that is the case, and since Rage is the next big Bethesda title coming out soon, they want players to have something to play up until Rage is launched. Just watch if Rage is delayed again, you can bet OWB or most likely LR will be delayed again.

When the inevitable GOTY edition comes out, that's when you know dev support of NV is going to stop for good.

Its likely that ALL the DLCs will be pushed back a month if the first has been pushed back. I've yet to see Bethesda or Obsidian release two DLCs in one month; just seeing one of their DLCs being released on time is rarer still

I assume it would be too much to ask, that they NOT to state when they are supposedly going to release anything. Or at least not state a particular date. It would stop everyone salivating and chomping at the bit, also if you put in weeks holidays from work...oh guess what it's been pushed back a month...yeah, cheers :facepalm:
