Lookin' for a camp

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 4:27 pm

So I'd like to find some place in the Mojave in which there is but a simple camp, with no loading to interiors required, and all I am looking for is some storage, and a water source. A campfire would be nice too, but it's not needed. Any ideas, anyone?

Goodsprings source has a trailer with sleeping mats, two campfires,a water source and a couple of metal boxes for storage.
Oh and respawning geckos every three days for plenty of gecko steaks.

The goodsprings source camp only has several boxes and a suitcase. I'd like a little more then that, but thanks anyway.

Geese, you're real picky about your campsite. Goodsprings source has everything you need and each box has unlimited storage capabilities.

Tis not that I am picky, but I like to roleplay and fitting all of my weapons, misc, and armor into a tiny box just doesn't work for me. I like to have each category in a different container, and the armor/weapon one has to be a bit bigger. I can improvise, but a couple boxes really doesn't cut it for me.

Actually, sounds pretty picky to me... :P

Anyway, that's probably your best bet. There's a prospector rest stop type area in the south-east area of the map, which has a campfire outside, a bunch of beds inside and lots of storage spots. There's a kitchen inside as well, though I'm not sure if there's any water. Downside is, it's kinda off the beaten path and I think there maybe enemies that spawn right in that area (Jackals or whatever the gang is, and maybe Super Mutants a valley or two away).

I really wish there was a campfire in the Novac motel courtyard area, along with some easily accessible workbenches in the immediate area. I don't craft in my current playthrough, but would like to at least give it a shot in future playthroughs.

Crafting in FLNV might have been some fun if this issue had be dealt with a bit better. Player housing was lame imop. I didn't craft anything cause I didn't want to drag it around to the fire or table. By the time I got to lucky 38 I was over it.

Mesquite mountains camp site has a ton of storage, beds, campfire. Only problem with it is it has 4 or 5 Giant Radscorpions lol

There are a few places around that fit this bill, but you'll have to look around for them, sorry. :P
