Looking For An Adventure:

Post » Sat Jun 30, 2012 5:45 am

As of now, I've finished the Gauldur Quest, destroyed the Dark Brotherhood, obtained the Dawnbreaker, helped the East Company fight off pirates, stopped the Wolf Queen from being summoned, and defeated the murderer in Windhelm. Those were some of my favourite quests, and I'm looking for more in the similar vein.

There aren't a lot of of hero type quests, and those that are seem to be hard to find. I also played a mod called, "No Mercy," which wasn't bad, albeit a bit short. I'm not really interested in the companions, or the thieves guild. I've done those before with my other characters, as well as the brotherhood, so I'd like to do something different, as I'd like to have a few more heroic notches in my belt before I begin Dawnguard.

Any other suggestions like those I mentioned, would be really welcome.

Thanks.

The Bard's College stuff is very short but the initial quest as well as the three radiants will send you out in search of items of great value and interest to their faculty and members. May not sound very heroic but you do get some dungeons to clear and the rewards for the three radiants are not bad. And you can RP it like you are volunteering to find and preserve vital parts of Skryim's cultural and literary history.

This is true, though, I always thought my questline was bugged in my original playthrough. Is it really that short?

Frostflow Lighthouse - Restoring the dead family's honor.
Forelhost down by Riften is one of my favorite dungeons though the story related to it is quite tragic.
Depending on which side you chose for the civil war, save the battleborn brother from the evil thalmor - Start in Whiterun

Wait, can you actually "repair" the white phial? I thought when you got it as cracked, that was well, it.

Yep.. but for some reason when I did the quest, it bugged my briarhearts and I could no longer remove them or use them. So.... check the USEP before you embark on that one.

Awesome. Thanks. I felt so bad not being able to do anything for the old man, so I didn't ever take that quest again.

Still, if you guys know of any more, definitely keep them coming. I really appreciate it. :)

One quest to become a member of the college, then there are three radiant quests, each one given by a different member of the faculty. They will take you all over Skyrim (at least they always do when I've done it) but AFAIK those four quests are it. The reward for the first one is just membership and gold, IIRC, but for the radiant quests the faculty members will reward you with free training (and thus a skill level up) in every skill from one of the three skillsets: Warrior, Mage, or Thief.

You don't get to choose which skillset, each faculty member will give you training in a different one. But if you do all three radiant quests you gain a level in every skill across the board. Obviously if you're at 100 already it doesn't get you any higher, but I think you will still get a level even in skills where you are over 90 and can't buy training from other sources (you'd have to check a wiki to be certain).

It's a nice little bump especially if you want to gain a level in skills that aren't in your primary skillset, or if you've gotten to the point where reaching the next level in one is getting more and more difficult.
