Sniff. I miss my old hat. It was a bucket hat with chinese symbols going around the brim of it, and a stitched on dragon symbol above the lettering that I always placed directly above my forehead. I loved that hat, but it's missing for years and I've never been able to find it anywhere. Hat threads make me depressed.

Why would you want to look like a French policeman?

I have a Panama hat, I wore it in Egypt, where it was a source of humour for the local population, who assumed that it was a cowboy hat and made endless Clint Eastwood jokes.

Try this link:http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&rh=n%3A1036592%2Ck%3Ablack%20military%20hat&page=1

Not to sound like a real snarkster, but I just typed "Black military hat" into Google.... This was the top result. :batman:

Most of them are under 20$, some under 5$...

EDIT: If you don't like Amazon, how about a Military surplus near you: like this one in Lexington? http://yellowpages.aol.com/business/ky/lexington/army-surplus-warehouse/0-207035860/?query=army-navy-stores&fromSearch=%26query%3Darmy-navy-stores%26area%3DNicholasville%2C+KY&area=Nicholasville%2C+KY

Yeah, I've come to terms with how these forums are populated - always expect lowest common denominator, that way you're always pleasantly surprised.

Odd, my friends gf just bought one of those hats today. Not sure where though. But probably Hot Topic.

Yes, I saw you went to your nearest one and they didn't have any. Was merely noticing the coincidence.
