So I'm looking at the HD texture pack and wondering if my PC

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 12:52 am

The recommended settings say:

4gb of RAM and a GTX 260 or higher

My current setup has:

12gb of RAM (making full use of that with 64-bit) and a GTS 250

I'm a tiny bit worried about my graphic card because it's basically 1 apart so can anybody tell me if I might be able to run it?

And im also wondering, If I install the texture pack can I uninstall it easily anytime?

Depends on how much VRAM your GTS 250 has, your processor and on what detail level you play. Also your monitor resolution.

Not enough info... What res do you play at? What draw distance? AA? AF? What is your CPU? What are your current FPS..

But in general that card would struggle with Skyrim at 1080p with high settings and the texture pack.

If you have issues running the new textures, just uncheck the ESPs in the Launcher under Data Files and they go away.

Install it and give it a try, you can also remove it if you need to. But if your playing at those settings you most likely will see a big drop in FPS as those textures are beyond "Ultra".

AA takes the jaggies out of diagonal lines as a simple explanation. AF makes things viewed at an angle look better.

Draw distance is how far away you see things. Or, how close they pop up. Remember, if you see it, the game has to run a script on it.

You'll be fine if you have the 1GB VRAM version of a GTS 250.
