losing Lydia: bug or not?

Post » Sat May 26, 2012 3:36 pm

HI, many time I lost Lydia, but she come back after a long peroid of time. but this time she never came back. When I do find her, she is stuck and she just keeps running? I look all over in the place other recommend and I know she is not dead. I ask other companion to follow me and they say you have a follower.

I beleive the developers should have a command that will make any companion appear with all that they had. Or fix this situation, thanks for listening..:>)

There is a command to move to an NPC. Check UESP.NET, or wait and someone that knows it will post it.

It happend to me too a couple of days ago. I faught a mage and Lydia was in on the battle in the beginning. Then after the battle she was just gone, but came running after a few minutes. I think she must have spotted some other enemy and gone after it.

Sometimes she gets stucked and have problems following. There is a particular steep road in the mountains far to the east where she couldn't follow me, and had to take a long route around.

I use that all the time, even when shes being an idiot and just blocking a door for no good reason. You don't need the first three 0's for it to work.

I've lost Lydia several times and I find her again in the oddest places. Why just the other day I cleared a fort that had some jail cells in it and Lydia didn't follow me out of the fort, of course I didn't notice this until I walked back to Whiterun because I don't feel like I should have to take a headcount after I leave a dungeon. I go back to the fort after selling some crap and storing the rest and find the fort was taken over by the legion from the bandits and in the process threw her in one of the cells. It wasn't even locked, and I hadn't touched any of the cells so that she wouldn't accidentally get stuck in one, but she couldn't escape it, she refused to even open the door when I commanded her to. I eventually had to let her out myself... The guy guarding the jail cells didn't even care that I let her out so there was no reason for her to refuse to leave, and I'm still not even sure how she got in the cell in the first place.
