Hi, I'm new to Skyrim, and have a question about lost items:

I accidentally dropped some items (stored them actually) in a corpse, and by the time I realized what I may have done, when I went back to the corpse it was gone. Is there a way of getting them back, or do I assume they are gone forever?

Specifically, one of the items was the Axe of Whiterun, is there a way I can get this item back?

Unless you play on pc they are gone forevever, Im afraid.
If you play on pc you can probably give them yourself again, but I dont know the code for that.
You can probably find it online though.

The Axe of Whiterun is a random weapon, renamed by a script. There's no specific console ID for it. Sorry, but it's gone.

Just so you know, the axe of whiterun isn't unique. It is just a random scaled axe (1h or 2h depending on your skill) with a random scaled enchantment. You can make your own axe, then call it axe of whiterun.

I'm on PS3, so I guess the original is gone forever. I might try and trick myself and make a fake.
