A lot of bugs and flaws...

Now dnt get me wrong... I like New Vegas... but there is many things i did not like.

Graphics have been changed, I like the new lighting effects... How a glare focuses giving into the shadows and everything goes dim.
The new textures, all though still buggy as hell in the PS3 version look cool, the textures have a neat dimension to them..

What I didn't like was how the bug of in frame texture loadout would sometimes stall or not load at all...
I think it probably has something to do with the night and day timing cycle .... Where shadows move and sometimes a texture doesn't blend correctly with the ambient shadow casting.

I like the new hardcoe mode... gives that nice illusion of desolate apocalypse. BUT I also think it is what causes many stalls of loading. sometimes all those food, water, and sleep will interval as they count down and make other load stalling.

Round mountains---round dirt mountains---is not very--how you say--realistic... I'd imagine a round dirt mountain in a Doctor Sues book. But in Border of Nevada... nope... clay is hard.. clay in Nevada has acute angles and is abruffted by winds. Not round.

Floating rocks, incomplete sidewalks(sidewalks missing a curb, and you see threw the map)... I've seen numerous of those floating rocks everywhere. There is some in Novac, some by the firecaverns... many in the mountain areas.

The game seems very, very rushed... I like all the new additions but the map is not really *complete*. You can not even go into the left/west corner of the map... it is just a large mountain. Fallout3 had a far larger map.

The Kill cam is cool, but it likes to stall out like crazy in the PS3 version -- Turning it off and turning the music of the game off will stop many errors. Also, turning the foot steps off will turn off some errors aswell... My guess it is all a timing interval errors. That sync incorrectly. I've had times where I would be listening to the radio and I would stop hearing my footsteps.. It would stall for a moment -- THEN i would hear terrain-footsteps load out.

Fallout still has its direction... I just wish that gamesas would not rush the game... Games are art -- You rush your art than you don't get the entire feeling you wish to demonstrate.

Unlike Assassins Creed -- Where, you kinda forget where the direction of the game went to... The memory syncs in it have all turned into "Synchs" and you are a GTA Renaissances assassin... Like my cape!? Where you press one button in multiplayer and stand around ppl that look like you... The direction in assassins creed has became aimless.... At the end your like... Oh yea... Desmond. The aliens presence also became dilluted, as well.

Either way, keep up the very brilliant appocolypse concept... And dont rush your work gamesas.

Thats fair.

However I have had none of those problems, and hardly any problems with bugs at all (no more then most open world games) on the 360.

edit: tired must soon sleep good

Bugs that are not as continuous on the Xbox is the random stalling... The becoming tired and hungry at the same time, stall isn't there and the radio and in game music also do not glitch as much. The Xbox also sometimes doesn't want to read the disc...

Which that could just be bugs from converting xbox to PS3.

However, but some of those map problems errors -- Rocks not sat on the ground -- are also there... Which I also have been to 90% of the map without using the Explorer perk, you just have to wonder around a lot to really see them.

Sure its easier to just... use the perk, but i like seeing all the creativity put into the game...

"Ive been ev-er-y-where man!"

Games froze twice in 90'hours, which is less then FO3, Oblivion, Morrowind, and for that matter, Mass Effect 2, and Red Dead.

I must be lucky. (so far)

Ive heard of this. Drop an "Old Cowboy Hat" on the ground and it will fix it. Honest to God. At least thats what the wiki says.

Indeed. New Vegas has got to be one of the buggiest games ive played in a long while. Lets hope they are starting to make a new game engine. One that isnt years old and is still full of bugs.

Yeah, somebody said something like that before on this forum. I just avoided the quest all together. You can still find him standing outside of the Tops casino on my game lol.

Sounds practical enough...

Probably doesn't need to be... old cowboy hat.... possibly a location que error of placement in map... an error from duplicating two sections of the strip?

Oh well... its repetitive and annoying... I wanted to go play frisbee golf with the CD.

A simular problem is... I placed some mines down when i was making a trap -- i did a wait & save after the wait and save the mines disappeared. happen in another map area that has two parts duplicated ... in size... Ceasar's camp.. both sections are equal in size.
