Lots of questions in Primm

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 2:44 am

I seem to not be able to find anything in Primm right now.

1. Ruby Nash- I want some of her sweet sweet radscorpian stew or whatever it is she makes but I can't find her anymore. Is there a place she hangs out?

2. The Vicky and Vance is deserted. I made Slim the sherrif and ever since then it's just a ghost town. Where'd everyone go?

3. Where the hell do I find ED-E?

4. As we know, the gun is missing from the case in the Vicky and Vance. I hacked Slim to get the transcript and they said they were headed to Westside. Is there a way to retrieve it as a free quest or is the gun gone forever?

ED-E is on the counter of Nash's Mojave Outpost office, which is where you should find Nash as well. Mrs Nash tends to wander about during the day but usually near the office.

Getting the gun is an unmarked "quest" and the transcript is a bit misleading - they're not in Westside but they are in the area.

1. She should be in the Nash residence - the building with the Mojave Express sign. Otherwise she might be wandering the streets I guess?

2. Once the escaped convicts have been eliminated and a new sherrif installed people return to their homes. They were just holed up in there during the crisis, they didn't live there permanently. However, there's still some loose ends to be tied up with the Vikki and Vance should you return some time later...eventually the casino will re-open for business, though it takes some time.

3. Also the Nash residence, look for the junk on the counter.

4. Yup, you can catch up with the folk who nabbed it, you just need to find their hideout. Don't expect to do so for many, many hours though - I'd almost forgotten about the gun by the time I found them.

Well I'm about 50 hours into the game and main story wise I'm at the House Always Wins IV. I guess I run into the gun thiefs by chance?

Yeah, it's so scrounging-dependent it's almost a random encounter. A good one, too.

'K, here's my Primm question: Mr. Nash tells you that (I'm paraphrasing here) "there were 6 items to deliver. But when the last courier saw your name, he turned white and declined to do the job. I don't know what you two had between you, but he just turned coward. I hope he gets eaten in the desert."

So do you find out who that other courier was, and what is your history with him? I'm on my 2nd playthrough, the 1st took maybe 80? 100? hrs-- (the game crashes more when I play online. Stupid steam updates) and I did a slew of quests, but never ran into any further story about him.

Yeah, to find the gun you need dumb luck as much as anything, being a 'check every hovel' type helps.

I haven't found so much as a clue yet. I think there's a thread about this in GD, but I'm not sure if anyone's found anything.
