I managed to count 9 duplicates. This has gotten ridiculous!

I killed most of them during a dragon attack, now there's only one, but probably they will respawn soon (still, all of them had some loot and around 50 gold each)

Is there a way to get him out of the ground? I know the horse is hiding under there as well.

I can handle him having a few twins, but sitting half-way stuck in the ground is distracting!

I gave him the horse, but after I waited an hour, I realized he left the horse. So I stole him back to the stables, and went on my own business. I really have to try and see if I have this glitch, it's hilarious!

You can hit him with Unrelenting Force to dslodge him from the ground (level 1 of the shout is enough to do it). However, at that point all of the clones plus the nearby town guards will turn hostile to you.

If you have your weapon out then put your weapon away, they should accept your yield. The guards will for sure. Idk about the clones.

I found if I aggro him and kite him to the mammoth pit at Halted Stream Camp, he'll go away.I've also found if it's the Rift bounty version of him, not paying the fine seems to help.An in game month free of Louis Letrush and his clone army so far using that method.(Pit trap + paying the fines will keep him at bay for a few days, usually when the khajit caravans reappear he will too).

I want a button to auto play that part for me so i can leave until it's over.

I had about 5 plus the one stuck in the ground. I blasted them with a fireball and got a 40 bounty in the Rift.

I've already informed Maven Black-Briar of his plans anyway (that seemed like the right thing to do at the time), so I guess that means he's dead. I don't intend on completing the quest anyway, I'm a law abiding and virtuous character, so I don't go around stealing horses and getting involved in criminal plots.

I'll tell you what's funny in the save game I using at the moment.. I did that quest for Louis Letrush, the one with the horse 'Frost'.. did the mission no problem, gave him the horse - he left, well about 10mins after finishing that mission I came across his body and Frost, with a 2 Vampires standing over their bodies.. killed them went on my way. Now, about a week after doing this mission, I was wandering around in the wilds admiring the scenery and finding new locations, when down this road came Louis Letrush (whom I know to be dead) followed by an Orc assassin, who promptly kills Letrush mumbles something at me and goes on his way.. I loot Letrush and go on my business... Now for the next week, I'm doing some misc quests and I just happen to come back to Whiterun and there is Letrush and the funny thing is there are 3 of him just standing there 'Need something'..

I only have one of them. He even greeted me cordially after he sent a thug to kill me.

I have only one, stuck in the ground outside Whirerun stables. i'm quite happy to leave him there. I usually like my gaming to be 'immersive', but this one small glitch doesn't bother me.

Just pretend it's quick sand. And if clones appear just pretend there is a tear in reality or something along those lines.

I slaughtered the lot of them in front of the stable. We'll see if they keep coming back.

Why didn't you take his horse? He was a rat bastard. I wanted to kill him but some powerful bandits came out of nowhere and forced me to stop chasing after him (mounted combat would have been perfect then).

If you reverse pickpocket each of them and put poison in thier inventory will they drink it to their deaths? That would be awesome.

Or what about reverse pickpocketing each of them while giving them each weapons... different types. Then stand back and cast Frenzy on all of them. See which clone is the champion.

Hmmm, now there's a thought! Should be fun for giggles..

This guy ... I gave up on counting the amount of times I've encountered him in the wilds, nowadays I simply run past him. Sometimes he meets the orc (and I didn't even rat him out to Maven), sometimes he's just running along the road or fighting other inhabitants of the outdoors. There were about five Louis Letrushs standing outside Whiterun, so I once decided to try out the MarkForDelete trick (without disable I might add), but new clones kept on appearing. Well, at least the one being waist-deep in the ground is missing ... But I'll have to try it again, this time with disable. Maybe that'll help. Probably won't stop him from appearing out there 'though.

Even though I've got so many clones of this guy, there's only one to be found in the WIDeadBodyCleanup cell.

Even on Console, If I wanted to put him them out of existence, I could probably find a way.
making them stop randomly getting killed is another story o.o
3 times I found him in the middle of nowhere and the Thug comes and kills him.
Next time i'll do in all my power to save him to see if it stops.

I kind of wish I had clones of that guy. Seems like they're just begging you to perform deadly experiments on them, film them, and post them on YouTube. I'm laughing while reading about the random encounters in the wilderness with him as he gets killed over and over again... it's his Hell. That's what he gets for concocting such a conspiracy to steal Maven's horse and subsequently meeting his end before being absolved of his sin. Perhaps you are there as his punishment? Just accept it and perform the evil acts upon him that justice requires.

I don't even know what to say to that... I think I may clone him after all. Imagine having an army of clones doing... that. You would be unstoppable! But then again, who's side would they be on??

I went to talk to Sibbi in jail and he gave me the strongbox key, THEN I decided to go tell Maven what was going on. She told me to just go take the horse... got attacked by the mercs when I did that, killed them all, emptied the strongbox... but didn't get the horse's papers. I had some glitch where it looked like Maven had given me the papers when I talked to her, but found out after leaving the Lodge and riding the horse for weeks in-game that this wasn't the case. I noticed that the quest was still active in my journal. I had never seen Louis again at that point and had no directive in there about meeting up with him again.

But not having the papers bothered me, and I wanted the quest to update and get out of my journal if possible, so when I went back to Riften to get married I made a side trip to the lodge and got the paperwork. When I did the quest updated and I got the directive to go meet Louis. So I did, and convinced him to let me keep Frost and the quest got marked off as complete.

For the longest time I never saw anything else of Letrush and thought that somehow I had beaten the glitch, then I stopped by Whiterun and... there he was. Just one of him, though. I left him there for a while but eventually I just used the console to disable him. I suppose I can do the same with any clones, but so far I haven't had any.

I really thought that my bassackward method of finishing out the quest had saved me, but I guess not.
