I've been playing Skyrim ever since it's release, and have some games collecting dust to prove it...lol
There's also been many times I've visited the website, and glanced over many of the threads which have been started here.
It seems that quite a few of them are what could or could not have been done with the game, what svcks, the bugs, it's boring...and I could go on.
If you feel inclined to tarnish my thread or badmouth something about Skyrim, then read no further, and move on to another. This is for people who accept the game for what it is 'A game'...and appreciate the effort the company put into this chapter of the Elder Scrolls series.
I'm just here to say that I love the game, the atmosphere is amazing at times, and the world is incredibly detailed and immersive.
Like many of you, I've played countless games over the years, mostly favoring RPG's, and imo this game has caught my attention the most I can truly say.
I also played Morrowind and Oblivion, but find that Skyrim leaves me staring at the screen for hours and forgetting about everything else around me. If a game can do that to me, then I feel the developers have done their job.
This game was a colossal undertaking I'm sure, and the countless hours that were put into coding, texturing, detailing, voice/sound recording, and testing were unbelievably taxing on the company. You can see the love, and attention that was put forth into this title every time you load the game.
That's much more than I can say for many of those countless other games that we've all played over the years...and I feel I've already gotten my money's worth from this title ten times over already.
Sure there's some glitches, bugs, and flaws available here and there, but what game has ever been released that's perfect?
This is an open world game...you can wander wherever you'd like, do whatever you'd like, at the pace you'd like...it's up to us all as individuals, that's what makes the series so great.
I hate games that hold your hand and direct you through a linear world, using cutsceens and graphics to guide you through the story, leaving you saying "I wonder what's going on over there"...and can't reach it, and walk to that spot.
Skyrim, as the other titles before it, leave me travelling around with a sense of wonder and exploration...and I feel with this title, they've taken the best of everything, and created it in an absolutely breathtaking world.
My girlfriend even watches me for hours, and contributes help and suggestions as I trek around, also being awestruck by some of the scenery and environments I travel through...and believe me, that's never happened before...lol
It's like we're on an adventure together...and I love every minute of it.
This game was created by Bethesda, and is now being played by millions of people worldwide, with millions of different playing styles, and millions of different hopes and wishes for their characters...of course you're bound to run into some snags, and complaints in regards to all that, but as a whole I think Bethesda has done the best job of making it work, than I've ever seen in any other developer...ever...and this is just my opinion, so take it for what it is.
If you enjoy the game as much as I do, feel free to leave your words here...no negativity allowed

This just seems to be a more positive thread than many of the others I've seen here over the past few months.
Excellent job Bethesda...keep up the excellent work!
I look forward to the next chapter of this amazing series of games.
Modders, please help heal the hurt that many of the others seem to be feeling, with their broken, or incomplete gaming experiences...and let's all continue to have a fun time in what again I say is 'A game'...
Take care,
Mike

So anyway, Erandur and my little Khajiit are off to Labyrinthian tonight to find an item for the College of Winterhold. I took Lydia home so she'll be safe because Erandur's health is much higher. Wish us luck.
