I love the Khajiit in this game.

I never have thought much of the Khajiit. They've never been more interesting to me than a vaguely feline person, and I've never found their demeanor, customs, culture, looks, or voices to be that intriguing.

This time around, however, I find myself fascinated by them. Skyrim seems to have given the Khajiiti something this time that is a lot deeper than they've had before. They have a unique culture, sort of this wandering gypsie feel to them. They are slightly exotic, sortof hinting at a classical "arabian" theme mixed with a little bit of the indus. They tell stories of their homeland, which is in such stark contrast to Skyrim that it really does feel foreign and distant.

That's nothing like Oblivion where "Elsewheyre" (god forgive I could never spell that) is little more than "oh that area past the invisible wall there? Yea more trees 'n stuff."

I dunno, for the first time I'm actually interested in playing a Khajiit. I've never, ever been interested in the race before and I've been playing TES since Morrowind. I've never started a Khajiit character, not once. I've done every race but them and the argonians.

So my hat is off to Bethesda on making the Khajiit race more interesting this time around. I think "Elsewheyr" (oh lord) has become one of my new favorite "exotic place" to visit. I do hope that some day soon, before I die, we get and expansion or a game set there. All of a sudden I'm intrigued.

As an aside, my most-looked-forward-to places for future games/expansions are, in this order:
Akavir
Summerset
Elsewheyr
Skyrim (was here)
Valenwood
Blackmarsh
Anywhere else.

I wish there were more khajiit in this game, and that some were marriable.

I agree, I talked to some in a little camp outside whiterun. I had no desire to kill them (I kill everything I can with my current character :P )

Well, I don't think they were more...shallow in the other games, but they certainly look a lot better :D
...And there's certainly a lot less of them, uhuh.

Shallow? Ive seen a few people say all the khajiit they meet were jerks, but I dont see why. Every single one I meet is very nice and actually gives you a feeling of warmth/compassion toward their cause. Only ones that actually say anything silly are enemy bandit khajiits but thats about it.

Once I saw a broken caravan full of dead khajiits next to a Giant/Mammoth campfire. I grieved and and swore to murder all them giants. (Supposedly they are peaceful yet they always attack if you get a bit close)

I really hope the next Elder Scrolls game is set in Elseweyr. Deserts and jungles rendered in the TES style of gorgeous, expansive environments?

My point was that I do not think that they were really worse in previous titles... Even tho the way how people of Skyrim reject Khajiit makes them feel more... real, shall we say. There are few good books on Khajiit ingame too.
I liked Khajiit since Morrowind, and I still like them.

Oh, and by that caravan, did you notice the message pinned on the lampost nearby? "this giant has a permit to keep his camp here" heh.

Khajitt are the only race that are balanced differently to each other, they run faster and hit harder unarmed.

They run faster since when?

I'm with the OP. The Kajitt have always been kind of cool I guess, but nothing that really interested me. But this game, that gypsy/arabic, feel to them, to the accents, their demeanor at the caravans, they strike me as very interesting.

I like their voices, and the warm smile when they ask you to buy something. Very grandfatherly.

Consider picking up http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Kharjo as a follower, he's a cool cat, and a good bodyguard.

I'm playing a Khajiit and I'm having fun. I'm very intrigued by their lore and culture. It sets up very well for Roleplaying a character because of their unique history and the "mystery" surrounding them. And I also love cats, so, yeah. Go figure.

I do wish there were more Khajiit, like in Oblivion. I've run into very few, and I haven't noticed any specific responses based on my level, which would happen in Oblivion when you were a Khajiit and met a NPC Khajiit. I did meet Ma'iq, and I was in awe...lol. It was like meeting a celebrity for my toon. Lol

It would be nice to marry a Khajiit, but oh well. Maybe in DLC or something.

Elsweyr would make an awesome game. Seeing the large beast cats that they ride in battle would be a lot of fun. Maybe Bethesda will give the kitties their due at some point in the future.

And it's classic when Bandits yell, "You'll make a fine rug, cat!"

Yeah, the Khajiit in Skyrim are pretty cool even though I've never played one yet. The Khajiit voice in Skyrim is what the voice for the Dunmer is to Morrowind. Very well done.
