Hello, the question is in the title. Is it safe to deposit items in the lucky 38's various boxes? I read somewhere items tend to disappear. I've already lost many items when ED-E got upgraded, and I don't really want it to happen again...

Was it fixed or is it still a major issue waiting to be fixed? I didn't buy all that furniture just to look at it... Would be nice to be able to use it instead of using my npcs or the hotel room in novac.

It's all safe. Idle companions (ones not following you) mooching food/drink is another matter.

Thanks for the answer! So it was fixed in a previous patch? I heard before that only the novac hotel room was safe.

Remember Paladin Cross in Fallout 3? He's like randomly come into your megaton house and steal things?

I'm thinking of making a mod (if this is possible) where Paladin Cross has made his way to the hidden valley bunker because he was sick of those BoS wimps that abandoned their mission in DC. But he's totally clepto and is scripted to steal all your stuff from every safe house so the Elder asks you to take him out. Nevermind
