Lvl81 in like, 1hr.

Has anyone else taken advantage of the glitch with the ohgma infinium to get to lvl 81?

I don't feel bad. Past lvl30-40 it's just grinding, there's not really any challenging situations where you're thinking "dam I wish I were a higher level so I could beat this", it's just nice to have all the perks I was after, well, mostly, aside from some mistakes I made in the first 10 levels when I was still learning about it properly.

I did it once, and completely regretted it after a while.

It was fun at first having all my perks, but the novelty soon wore off.

I dunno, I guess it's all about the journey, than the destination... if you understand my meaning.

Glitching to level 81 takes out a good deal of the fun out of the game.

I played the game the right way first time through. Did about every quest and after 85 hours I was only level 54, I believe. 3rd character I used the glitch ASAP... No regrets. Though this time I'm doing ALL the quests. Every single one I can find, even if I neglect them for a while.

I only use it if I need some extra perks really quick.

yeah I had made my 3rd character scraqed him because he svcked made a 4th that improved on my 3rd the 4th ran into a gamebreaking bug made a 5th exactly like 4th ran into a game reaming bug by the time I got to my 6th I thought I deserved the oghma infinium glitch and used it no regrets

I always find it fun the low levels because everyone svcks lol XD
But, I did grind a character for like 150 hours ( don't ask what the hell I was doing lol )
With 80 unused perks . . .
Even with that character, I find myself drawn to creating a new character :)

You have to wait til level 15 to do it and if you do it right it's better I think. Everyone is top level in combat and all there stuff is the best. Some quests need a level up to activate the second part so I stop at 76 and randomly level up every now and then. I didn't even know about this til my 3rd character

Leveling up my skills is the only fun activity I can do in Skyrim after doing all of the main and side quests.

I like to do it just for fun, but I also like to play legit so I usually have a toon or two for messing around ( ogham glitch ) and a toon or two for legit play. The only thing that I really like about using the glitch is that you can drop into a " class " rather quickly and not have that " everyone's the same " feeling from the start.

Did it with my first character, stop at 61 after all the quest were done. on my 3rd character now and honestly you get more enjoyment out of the game by taking the stairs rather than the elevator but thats just me.

I don't like the level system in TES, so the Oghma Infinium method doesn't really bother me.

I used the Oghma Infinium on both of my characters.

I used on my 1st character (warrior dude) after I hit like 54 because I wanted to recover 3 perks I put into Blocking because when I started it wasn't clear to me that you couldn't block while dual-wielding.

I used on my 2nd character (assassin chick) to get from like 23-42 because I didn't want to grind. Then i used it again in the high 50s because I wanted to play around with Illusion.

I never used it to get a character to 81, because I was powerful enough when I hit 51 or so. And I only used to level magic skills (which I don't use except on my 2nd character at high levels to mess with NPCs with Illusion).

At least it allows consoles to quickly max levels.

The purpose of this is beyond me though, best fun is between level 20-45 or so. (So i personally only use skills so that I top out in that range). Enemies don't level past 50.

Also it is pretty likely dawnguard is not tailored to level 81 either, so if you take a 81 in there you will fly through it and ruin the experience. - I would bet on it.

To each his own.

I would never do this, I use skill to survive in my game, you obviously don't.

Some people will say "leave it in, don't use it if you don't want to" but I wish they'd just patch this, it's ridiculous IMO.

Gosh, what a rude thing to say. And pretending to "jk".... wow. You do realize there are likely a lot of new people getting the game now that school's out, right? And they likely don't know all the stuff the old-timers do....

But some people do like it, and for their sake, leave it in. If you don't like it, don't use it :P

Exactly. I don't use the glitch myself, but why in a SPMR game does it matter if someone else does? This isn't an MMORPG.... at least not yet.

Totally. Why take something out when you can just ignore it in your own game?

I used it on my current character because I was already into the 50s on my levels and I didn't feel like grinding anymore. I just wanted to be able to play the game and get some perks. I'm 81 now and still run into trouble from time to time, so it's not as perfect a glitch as some might think.

Plus, I always recommend that everyone use the glitch even if they just want to use book once. That way they can keep the book which looks really creepy-cool. :P

I've been playing since launch and while I've heard the phrase "Oghma Infinium glitch" mentioned a few times here and there with regards to leveling, I have no idea what it entails or how it works.
Levelling, to me, is something that just happens while you are playing the game.
