I have recently acquired the over-priced program, Sony Vegas Pro, and wanted to try my hand at making Machinima with it. I also have audacity ready, in case I need to ever edit audio or just record it. That being said, I have a couple questions

1. How would I add shaders onto my videos with Sony Vegas? I have seen it done with Drakortha's videos a while back, (this was during a livestream, so I don't have any examples), but I do not recall how he did it.

2. How would I adjust audio to make it sound like it was coming from a radio with a weak signal? I imagine there is another program out there besides Audacity for this.

3. Are there any other programs I should look into that would probably be able to help me with video effects and what not?

4. What would be a good program to add special effects in with? Things ranging from having a gunshot look different, adding a trollface on someone, or something a bit more advanced like editing text over text.

Feedback would greatly be appreciated.



P.S The two games I will most likely be doing videos with are WoW and Fallout, if that helps any.
