Mage build. Where to next?

Just finished the mages college and was wondering where the next good Mage centric mission path was. If there is one where I get more magey stuff.

The amount of missions for each guild is a let down. Their should be twice as many missions per guild story arch. My game is only 8 hours in and I wa able to get the Mage college done, along with finishing the greybeards, and killing 5 static dragons. Personally I don't feel like doing all the random banol stuff.

If there isn't a way to go for Mage specifc fun i'll probably either join the imperials (as I didn't my first play through) or wrap up the main arch.

You unlock "magery" stuff as your spell schools level up. I'd focus on just getting them high enough for new stuff to pop up.

There's a unique spell that you receive from a quest that allows you to summon a Flaming Familiar. Check it out at http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Conjuration

Could go looking for the Dragon Priest masks, most of them have some pretty good enchants for mages.

With my mage I took the same route! Did the mage's guild and the main story line! I stuck to quests that were mage like! I ended up doing quests for the court wizards in each hold and the random stuff npc's offer at the collage after you are arch mage! Also you could go hunting for daedric quest, which is kinda mage like, I mean in the sense that most involve fighting other magic oriented enemy's!

Go to Markarth. Talk to the wizard about exploring the dwarven ruins, that is a mage thing to do.

Collect deadric gear, or the dragon priest masks. I would say explore anything ancient with the reasoning that you are looking for secrets.

Do the quests for the various mage guild members... some are near infinite.
