Mage, places to visit.

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 5:04 am

I recently created a mage type character, and i decided that i would explore a little first and then visit the mages guild, but i don't really know what other places or quest there are for a mage character, i was thinking about doing the dark brotherhood but i think it doesn't really fit my mage, maybe markoth is another place for a mage but i think that's it, do you guys know any other places or quest for a mage character?

College of winterhold. Magic college. Mage college. Same thing.

i had fun doing dwarven ruins with my mage just starting out-the difficulty is hard enough so that you have to strategize and work to survive but easy enough so as to be reasonable

Go check out the Guardian stones, they're pretty interesting and will take you far and wide, check the Barrows...well the -open- Barrows NO DON'T GO IN THEM if you don't want to but they can give some interesting insights...visually, um... I don't know GO OUT THERE do [censored] lol there are some interesting things to come across, Haarfingar Hold, the Rift are 2 decent holds to explore. Caves and um I forget the name, Glades? ...Caves just enter caves flanked by magickal creatures. should be an interesting visit.

that's what i wanted to do, explore the world first because i made my mage into an old wise man, so i didn't want to start any quest at level 1, he needs to have years of experience and know a lot about skyrim to get into character, then he can interact with npc's.

Visit all the court wizards and see if they have any quests to get you on your way.

Go seek out the stone and dungeon dive, I made a mage obsessed with Dwemer civilization that might be another good route to go.
Seek out artifacts do the Daedric missions. The ones that fit your character anyway.

catching yourself into Daedric Quests is a fine way to put some "experience" under your old mans belt. if you're looking to svck yourself into Skyrim, think about how his interactions with the various holy shizzle experiences he is bound to come across will effect him, is he a conjurer? and illusionist? what does he like? what does he hate? stay off the beaten path and your sure to get a beating. ;p

Personally on my mage I like to go check Dwemer ruins sort of like a solo excavation type deal, plus the soul gems from dwemer spiders/centurions help out with leveling enchanting
