What I would also do with my knowledge of Illusion Magic is make a new spell that I would call "The Hypocrisy Spell"
The hypocrisy spell would be a charm class spell that would make it so no girl (or guy depending on the situation) would lie to me, sweet talk me insincerely or lull me into a false sense of hope (or security depending on the situation).

I would also add a corollary to this spell that would provide me with the right counter argument to any of these situations.

oh and I would invest in Restoration and give myself a second eye.
Finally destruction magic, because who doesn't want to hurl ice-shards or summon blizzards at will?
