I would like to see a real speed run, like the dev and qa-guy did it. Without exploiting glitches.

Lol its funny when people make post like this. What do they think people are going to say. "Oh your so cool" People play elderscrolls games to have fun exploring the game world.

I really agree with you. I'm at level 53 and still waiting to recover the Elder Scroll to learn the Dragonrend shout. I'm not in a hurry. I have so much fun doing lots of quests, discovering differents places, admiring the landscape, etc. I have my dog Meeko following me when it's not too dangerous. Sometime it prefers staying at home near the fire place and lots of food. I'm so happy to have a dog as follower

Like Davian said:
You dont roll your first character and do that. He has already " listened to dialogue, explore, and relished things".

And why are people bashing the fast completion of the Main Quest so much? This is the "Cheats, Hints and Spoilers"-section after all.
I think "Caelin" has made the community a nice service by giving quite a big hint how to clear main quest, don't you think?

I doubt they ever took video of the "real" speedrun sessions of the development team. Only a couple of pictures of it can be seen http://www.flickr.com/photos/47857688@N08/sets/72157627760483975/ though.
I suppose you just wouldn't poke NPCs to skip dialogue or use bowls to skip some areas to make a "clean" run..

I know precisely what a speedrun or speedclear is, considering Ive done them in numerous games myself most notably MMO or FPS games. However in a single player RPG game where the player is supposed to be engaged in the dialogue and plot, speedruns imo are pointless and are counter to the point of the game in the first place (ie role playing solo).

If there was a point to doing a speedrun such as "end game content", then I would probably do one myself at some point. But Skyrim (and previous tes games) have always been free-roaming, so there is no real "end game" as its all designed to be played at almost any time.

...still clear to me you dont understand...speedruns are precisely NOT about playing the game as designed...it is a test of knowledge and skill with the game...for folks who know it very well. In this case it was a speedrun of the main quest. Perfectly legit and entertaining in my opinion.
